In ancient Egypt, Aug 22 is the midpoint between solstice and equinox and is considered the 'peak of flooding' of the Nile. In ancient times, the new year started at the Summer Solstice in late June.

This year that is also the full moon.

Aug is our 8th month but it was the Egyptian's second month. Gives a new meaning to 322/223.
