DOn't forget the economic environment these younger generations were born into.

It seems almost pointless with the state of things,

Plus being told Social Security will be all used up by the time they're old enough to receive it, despite paying into it with every paycheck,

And the insane cost of their useless educations.

It can lead to a general sense of apathy toward productivity.

Not trying to excuse certain behavior, but apathy, malaise, and depression are real problems with the younger ones, due to the state of the world.

 

And many haven't been taught how to work hard.

 

But I know many (esp millennials… younger than that are a different beast) that are extremely hard-working, but will still never succeed financially.
