C-17 cargo area is 88 ft x 18 ft total area 1584 sq/ft.
If carrying around 800 passengers that equals about 2 sq/ft per person.

The middle ADSB image you posted is the history of the C-17 02-1109 RCH885 captured on the 16th.
Posting my original capture of history.
Note the data strip on the left indicating that it is showing flight history is expanded to show flight on UTC Day : 2021-08-16 and the time stamp on my capture in the pic file name.
Time stamps on the flight tracks indicate a short period after take-off from the gulf and a short period as it popped back up on ADSB as it arrived back at the base, most probably Doha middle east.
It is typical for military planes operating over places like Afghanistan not to show up on ADSB for obvious security reasons.
