• the dad's initials spell JAG

• the mom's middle name is Rose. So is the main character in Edge of Tomorrow, an alien invasion/time loop movie (just saying)

• the comet's fragments are called Deltas

• the Air Force Base evacuation had "dozens of planes with over 2000 passengers" and the planes looked alot like C-17s

• the stampede toward the planes looked a lot like the stampede at the Afghanistan airport
