We did not allow it? We have allowed our representatives to run their offices without representing themselves and without being held accountable. We should have been pushing for accountability and nothing else for decades. We should have been pushing for private/civilian investigations of government entities and individuals for decades. We did not. We complained about it, we didn't push.. And we allowed new representatives to tell us they would push for us.

This is the absolute last last last time we count on representatives.. If everything is not delivered in the next 6 months, every red state should be occupying their state government and isolating themselves from the federal govt.. The point of the 2nd amendment isn't to wait until the government is invading your home.. that would be, on the contrary, rather pointless…the point is that your whole state can say "Come and Take it" and is positioned such that 'taking it' comes at a great cost.

Brings me back to one of my favorite analogies though; You're an upper middle class/upper class family and your son goes into the ghetto alone, holding his phone and a fistful of the cash in the air yelling "I got them bills".. When he gets beaten and robbed, only the assailant should be charged for assault and robbery.. but the spoiled son needs to be scolded as well.. Should he feel guilty for what he did? Not necessarily, except to the extent that his lack of care could have resulted in a loved one or himself being even more seriously harmed.. We couldn't talk him out of the guilt had his sister been dragged with him to the incident and worse had happened.. He should have been more careful, regardless of the damage done.

This is the responsibility and empowerment that the public must awaken to.

Except in this case it was the people holding their authority up in both hands like cash and expressing that they preferred great lip service to any requirement of effort in holding their representatives accountable in a neighborhood of communists. Whole damn world has to man up and take responsibility. Stop picking the path of least resistance in life and embrace that challenge is healthy.
