It's not "the seasonal flu". You obviously didn't contract it. It's completely different than the flu; I've had the flu almost every year for the past ten and this was absolutely nothing like the flu.
The only reason I went to get tested was for that very fact: "hey this feels totally different than just the flu".
No cough, no congestion - just a complete lack of smell and taste and minor fever. The first time in my life I've ever felt those kinds of symptoms and it was obvious that it wasn't "just the seasonal flu"
