There's a garbage "convenience" chain called Wawa which is spreading like cancer to other parts of the country.
VERY overpriced junk food; Also putting delis, and more & more local gas stations out of business.
These things are being built, literally, a mile apart from each other.
As with walmart and the other crap chains ~15 years ago (when anon went full-boycott on these bastards, simply stopped shopping, still squeezing into same clothes…), people thought anon was weird & crazy for railing against all the big box & chain crap. This included the monopolized grocery chains. Has caused MANY fights with relatives who believe everybody has to like this crap simply because it's so popular. No. it's the only crap conveniently AVAILABLE on every block because lazy, oblivious people want MORE of it!
Now there are signs on lawns "Stop Wawa". Problem is, every person insists "I love Wawa" and won't stay out of them, which is HOW these bastards became the cancer they are. People don't CARE if it's the only choice left because it (like their precious amazon & walmart) is convenient – and they're starting drive-thrus on top of it.
People out in the farther suburbs (where the lawn signs are seen) don't want them because of the TRAFFIC which will take over THEIR pristine, quiet roads.
Now that the monster is too big to put back in the bottle, these people are too conditioned to "accepting" things to even know the damned difference. People on the quiet, pretty roads now only give a fuk because, now, it will finally, directly affect THEM.
People need the shit shocked out of them for anything to sink in. Perhaps truths being released regarding ingredients, chemicals, ETC. and relation to all these chronic illnesses will strike a nerve?
