Call me a sceptic, but I've always wondered if Trump was the great deceiver. The only bone of contention is that fucking vaccine.
Trump is talking to the masses. People are in different stages of awakening. Some are still have faith in specific religions or branches of science. Some have turned agnostic. Some think the aliens are coming to save them. Some think that at some point countries amd borders wont be needed, and somehow communism wont happen. Some are waiting for a literal Jesus to descend from the clouds to speak to the world. Regardless of the future, we live in the here and now and perhaps we have to support a government is some small way to keep society functioning, we know government has never been "for the people". We don't know what a world looks like that isn't paying vigorish or protection to a global cabal. Maybe that ends at some point in the plan, but people have to eat and work today.
