The entire plan's purpose is to help deconstruct narratives of control over the populace that have gripped the conscious of everyone; even those that might say they are "non believers" but will start noticing lots of coincidences that might have them questioning the veracity of claims that are biblical. You literally have to dissect what he says and take it to the basest of logical interpretations. But anyway, getting back to this. There's much more going on here in the awakening. Take out all the bullshit, and you get a genealogy report, a really awesome teacher that was sacrificed to Satan, and a warning that if we don't figure out how to get our shit together, the Prince of the Power of the Air will win.
So yeah. The plan is intentionally making biblical references to wake the staunch believers to action, while others that believe in the plan have a secular (yest still patriotic) reason to put all their energy into it as well.
