I was just skimming the graphs of this article at Zero Hedge:

There appears to be a periodicity in the number of "positive Corona cases" in the graphs that does not align with either seasonal things (like flu and allergy seasons) or policy decisions (e.g., masks or not). In addition, the amplitude of the peaks keeps increasing (in these graphs).

A cynic might say that they are releasing "positive" tests into the mix at regular intervals and in increasing numbers in order to ramp up panic and, or course, the response to that panic.

If that's the case (I'm only submitting that it's possible), then maybe part of our mission is to help ensure this effort realizes diminishing returns? Dunno. Just spitballing…
