Pro-mask pediatrics group denies scrubbing resources on importance of faces in child development
New recommendations on "universal masking" for kids over 2 coincided with a website migration, American Academy of Pediatrics says.
Less than a week after the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) published a lengthy tweet thread defending its pro-mask recommendations for children under 12, Twitter users started warning about an apparent memory-hole effort.
AAP resources on the importance of seeing faces to child development had recently disappeared from its website, now redirecting to the home page. It looked like AAP was trying to cover its tracks to align with its new recommendations.
The 67,000-member medical association has a different explanation: an unannounced website migration.
"The AAP has been in the midst of a large migration of content on our website to a new platform, a bulk of which took place this past weekend," a staffer who asked not to be named told Just the News Thursday. "Some content areas, including Early Brain and Child Development, are still being organized before they go live on the new platform."
Even if the disappearance of contrary content from its website was a coincidence, it's another stumble for the 91-year-old organization.
Last summer it advocated reopening schools for the 2020-2021 school year and reversed itself two weeks later, after President Trump had repeatedly cited its recommendations to school districts. AAP issued a new statement signed by teachers unions and superintendents that added several qualifiers, including more say for teachers in reopening plans and more federal money for districts.
AAP has also become a flashpoint in the gender identity culture wars. It initially granted a booth at its national conference to the Society for Evidence-Based Gender Medicine (SEGM) and then backtracked and rejected the group's appeal, "Irreversible Damage" author Abigail Shrier wrote in The Wall Street Journal this month.
SEGM is an international group of clinicians and researchers that frowns on the "affirmative care" model of gender-dysphoria treatment, which often involves rapid "transition" through hormones and surgery. Yet AAP approved booths for the National Peanut Board, Bible distributor Gideon International, cosmetics company L’Oreal and Infinity Massage Chairs, according to Shrier.

AAP was ahead of even the CDC last month in demanding mask mandates for everyone over 2 years old, regardless of vaccination, essentially seeking an expansion of the rule on American flights.But the group opened a hornet's nest in its Aug. 12 tweet thread, casually titled "Real Talk." It stated "COVID remains a serious threat to children’s health," which reflects recent CDC revisions that fly in the face of health insurance data on pediatric deaths.

Capitol Police Investigate Themselves, Find Themselves Not Guilty in Murder of Ashli Babbitt
Capitol Police have investigated themselves and found themselves not guilty of any wrongdoing in the murder of unarmed 14-year Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt.
The identity of Babbitt's killer, a Capitol police officer, has been officially kept secret for over seven months.
In April, Attorney General Merrick Garland also declined to bring any charged against Babbitt's killer.

The Capitol Police officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt outside a door of the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot has been formally exonerated after an internal investigation, according to a department memo obtained by NBC News.
The officer, whose name has not been released, opened fire on Babbitt as she and a mob of other Trump supporters tried to forcefully enter the Capitol.
Video of the shooting showed Babbitt in front of a crowd of rioters trying to get through a door leading to where members of Congress were being evacuated on the House side of the building.
The Justice Department announced in April that no charges were being brought against the officer. The exoneration by the Capitol Police wraps up the last remaining investigation into the incident.
A memo from the commander of the Capitol Police's Office of Personal Responsibility says "no further action will be taken in this matter" after the officer was exonerated for use of force.
Babbitt's family attorney, Terry Roberts, on Saturday slammed the secretive investigation as a "sham."
"I have seen nothing to confirm that an internal affairs investigation by the Capitol Police was done or has been completed," Roberts said in a statement posted to Twitter. "But, if true, I challenge Capitol Police to release the detailed findings (if any) of its investigation."
"It's not enough to say that an officer did nothing wrong if it cannot demonstrate how it reached that conclusion," he said. "I say release the findings to the public so we can determine for ourselves if the investigation was thorough, competent and fair. It wasn't."
Roberts continued: "I predict the Capitol Police will not release anything substantive because it would demonstrate it conducted a sham 'investigation.' A one-sided inquiry behind closed doors proves nothing, and it WAS NOT an 'exoneration.' The world has already seen citizens' videos of the shooting and has reached a different conclusion - one which is far from clearing the officer."

There is a seamless interface that ties the UN Agenda 2030 with the Davos World Economic Forum Great Reset and the nascent economic policies of the Biden Administration. That interface is BlackRock.

By now it should be clear to anyone who bothers to look, that the person who claims to be US President, 78-year old Joe Biden, is not making any decisions. He even has difficulty reading a teleprompter or answering prepared questions from friendly media without confusing Syria and Libya or even whether he is President. He is being micromanaged by a group of handlers to maintain a scripted “image” of a President while policy is made behind the scenes by others. It eerily reminds of the 1979 Peter Sellers film character, Chauncey Gardiner, in Being There.
What is less public are the key policy persons running economic policy for Biden Inc. They are simply said, BlackRock. Much as Goldman Sachs ran economic policy under Obama and also Trump, today BlackRock is filling that key role. The deal apparently was sealed in January, 2019 when Joe Biden, then-candidate and long-shot chance to defeat Trump, went to meet with Larry Fink in New York, who reportedly told “working class Joe,” that, “I’m here to help.”
Now as President in one of his first appointees, Biden named Brian Deese to be the Director of the National Economic Council, the President’s main adviser for economic policy. One of the early Presidential Executive Orders dealt with economics and climate policy. That’s not surprising, as Deese came from Fink’s BlackRock where he was Global Head of Sustainable Investing. Before joining BlackRock, Deese held senior economic posts under Obama, including replacing John Podesta as Senior Adviser to the President where he worked alongside Valerie Jarrett. Under Obama, Deese played a key role in negotiating the Global Warming Paris Accords.

Mississippi threatens up to 5 years in jail, $5,000 fines for COVID-19 patients who don't isolate
Mississippi's top health official Friday threatened possible jail time and fines for people diagnosed with COVID-19 who don't isolate, NBC News reported.
Mississippi State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs issued a "COVID-19 isolation order" on Friday, which told people they "must immediately home-isolate on first knowledge of infection with COVID-19."
Any individuals infected with COVID-19 "must remain in the home or other appropriate residential location for 10 days from onset of illness or 10 days from the date of a positive test for those who are asymptomatic."
"The failure or refusal to obey the lawful order of a health officer is, at a minimum, a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $500 or imprisonment for six months or both," the order states.
Those infected with a life-threatening disease who refuse to "obey the lawful order of a health officer is a felony," punishable with potential fines of up to $5,000 and/or five years in jail, according to the order.
"Persons infected with COVID-19 should limit exposure to household contacts," the order reads. "No visitors should be allowed in the home. Please stay in a specific room away from others in your home. Use a separate bathroom if available."
"A negative test for COVID-19 is not required to end isolation at the end of 10 days, but you must be fever free for at least 24 hours with improvement of other symptoms," the order states.
At Friday's press conference unveiling the new order, state epidemiologist Dr. Paul Byers noted, "Mississippi… 25,000 cases in the last seven days, but our rate is 843 cases per 100,000 in the last seven days. These numbers are staggering guys."
Mississippi reported 5,048 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, surpassing the previous record of 5,023 cases from the previous Friday. There were 54 coronavirus deaths reported on Friday. As of Wednesday, there were 1,660 hospitalized patients with COVID-19, 457 were in the ICU, and 324 were on ventilators, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health.
Only 36% of people in Mississippi are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, the second least-vaccinated state, trailing only Alabama.
Mississippi also rolled out 40 locations offering monoclonal antibody treatments, which can be used to treat mild to moderate infections when COVID-19 is detected early.
"If you're someone who is vaccine-hesitant and haven't made that jump yet, don't be antibody-hesitant," Dobbs said. "If you get COVID, we don't want to be having the conversation as you're getting wheeled into the ICU, saying, 'Hey Doc, what can I do about it?' Now it's too late."

Olivia Troye, a “former advisor to Vice President Mike Pence” who has received widespread praise from corporate media for repeating left-wing talking points on cable news shows, is a far-left activist who has displayed a George Floyd poster, a book by anti-Trump activist Alexander Vindman, a poster of what appears to be masked doctors, and a book authored by an organization that was co-founded by Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright.
“There were cabinet mtgs about this during the Trump Admin where Stephen Miller would peddle his racist hysteria about Iraq & Afghanistan,” Troye claimed in a Twitter thread that received giddy support from leftist activists. “He & his enablers across gov’t would undermine anyone who worked on solving the SIV issue by devastating the system at DHS & State.”
“I tracked this issue personally in my role during my WH tenure. Pence was fully aware of the problem,” Troye continued, “We got nowhere on it because Trump/S. Miller had watchdogs in place at DOJ, DHS, State & security agencies that made an already cumbersome SIV process even more challenging.”
Viewers who had the unfortunate experiences of viewing one of Troye’s many interviews on left-wing cable channels MSNBC and CNN noticed that the former Pence adviser’s background is purposefully littered with progressive propaganda.
A poster featuring deceased felon George Floyd is prominently centered behind Troye’s head, alongside a poster that appears show a group of masked doctors. Two books are prominently displayed in the shot: “Here, Right Matters” – written by anti-Trump activist Alexander Vindman – and “Vital Voices,” by Alyse Nelson, who co-founded the organization of the same name alongside failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 1997.
Vital Voices Global partnership’s mission is to promote feminist politics as a U.S. foreign policy goal. The Taliban’s unfavorable stance on feminist theory is cited by many Democrat and neoconservative activists as reason for the U.S. to re-invade the country of Afghanistan.
