In the latest controversial COVID-related development coming out of Australia, the nation’s police forces have launched a massive manhunt for a man whom they have dubbed “Public Health Enemy No. 1” for coughing in an elevator and reportedly testing positive for COVID. Australia’s bizarre lockdown policies, which have been described as treating citizens like terrorists for not following protocols, have been widely criticized.
Anthony Karam, 27, was ordered into a two-week quarantine by health officials in Sydney after testing positive for COVID, but did not respond to phone calls from doctors, who then contacted the police. Footage of Karam coughing in an elevator was circulated as proof that he was a COVID protocol-defying terrorist, and he was promptly dubbed “Public Health Enemy No. 1” by law enforcement.
The Daily Mail reports that “The situation is considered so serious, police have used Section 62 of the Public Health Act for the first time to name and identify Karam to help in the search.” Karam remains on the run as a fugitive, having dared to not submit to mandatory quarantine or turn himself in to police to be arrested for breaking protocol.
Karam was featured in a segment by 9News that highlighted and appeared to celebrate various instances of police harassing and arresting citizens over COVID, in one instance arresting eight teenage boys – one of whom can be seen bleeding from his left leg – and then bringing their mothers out to the scene late at night to inform them of being charged with a thousand-dollar fine.
In another instance, police swarm a construction site, demanding workers show them QR codes that show they have complied with quarantine and vaccination protocols. A worker who was unable to produce proof of compliance was sent home without pay.
In one New South Wales town, rescue dogs were reportedly slaughtered by authorities in accordance with COVID regulations.

Five People Killed in Fire on Oil Platform in Gulf of Mexico, 2 Went Missing, Pemex Company Says
Five people were killed, two were missing and six were injured in a fire on Pemex's offshore platform in the Gulf of Mexico, the company's CEO, Octavio Romero Oropeza, said on Monday.
One of the victims was an employee of the state-owned company, and four were employees of contractor Cotemar. Six victims of the incident are in hospitals, one of them is in serious condition.
"Five deaths have been confirmed. Six people have been injured and two are reported missing," Romero Oropeza said at a press conference at the company's headquarters in Mexico City.
Those two missing are employees of the Bureau of Monitoring the Condition and Integrity, the search continues, the CEO said.
The Ku-Alfa offshore platform, on which the fire occurred, operates as part of large complex Ku-Maloob-Zaap. This is one of the largest Mexican fields, producing about 640,000 barrels of heavy oil per day. The field's reserves are estimated at 4.9 billion barrels.

Rogue truck drivers are reportedly plotting to shut down major highways across Australia to protest against Covid lockdowns.
One driver has issued a warning in a video circulating online that truck drivers are 'planning to shut down the country' to 'remove the s*** government'.
He said supply chains would soon be interrupted and urged Aussies to stock up on groceries to get them through the next couple of weeks.
A GoFundMe page has since been launched to support the truckies financially as they prepare to strike from 9am on Tuesday August 31, which will involve 'blocking every highway entering into every state at the same time'.
'It's on. The truckies are doing it. The truckies are going to shut down the country,' the man says in the video.
'What that means is you need to go shopping now, get what you can for the next week or two, load your fridge, freezers.'
'The truckies are coming and they are going to pull this country down and we are all going to do it together and remove this s*** government.
The man says truck drivers have been in discussion with people from around 'the world' and are working with war veterans to carry out the scheme.

Medicine Regulators need to explain how they concluded the benefits outweigh the risks in giving the Covid-19 Vaccines to children
The Pfizer Covid-19 injection has been given emergency use authorisation to be used in children over the age of 12 in the UK by the MHRA, whilst the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) have decided that vulnerable children over the age of 12 and all 16 and 17 year olds should be offered the Pfizer jab. Both authorities claim that their decision is based on the benefits outweighing any potential risks.
If this is the case, then the MHRA and JCVI need to explain how they came to this conclusion when just 1 in every 1.7 million children have died with Covid-19 in 18 months, whilst 1 in every 9 children suffered a serious adverse reaction to the Pfizer vaccine in the small and short clinical trial which left them unable to perform daily activities.
According to official NHS data published weekly, between March 2020 and the 11th August 2021 a total of 3,743 people have died with Covid-19 in UK hospitals who had no underlying conditions, whilst 85,410 have allegedly died with Covid-19 who had other serious underlying conditions.
These conditions include ailments such as chronic kidney disease, chronic neurological disease, chronic pulmonary disease, heart disease, and dementia.
