Biden’s Grotesque Mishandling Of Afghanistan Threatens To Destroy NATO

by Charles "Sam" Faddis August 23, 2021

Multiple media outlets have reported recently on the intense conflict on the ground in Kabul between British and American commanders. The British have taken a much more proactive and aggressive approach to rescuing and extracting Westerners trapped in Kabul. The Americans, hamstrung by the incomprehensible guidance coming from the Biden administration, have made it clear they will do nothing to help Americans trapped in Kabul to make it to the airport and are signaling that even the limited evacuation measures currently in place are likely to be terminated in the very near future. In short, the official position of the U.S. government is that we are about to cut away thousands of American citizens and abandon the field.

AND Magazine has learned that the rupture in Kabul between the British and Americans is now threatening to tear apart NATO. British officers in Kabul have complained bitterly to the Defence Ministry in London and those complaints have now made their way to the Prime Minister. Boris Johnson has called a G-7 meeting for tomorrow. At that meeting, he intends to protest the American handling of the situation in Afghanistan and press the case that the Kabul evacuation is a NATO operation – not a unilateral American operation – and as such its duration and conduct cannot simply be dictated by Washington.

In short, the Prime Minister of Great Britain intends to call the President of the United States on the carpet, accuse him of acting in violation of the charter of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and demand that he alter course.

NATO has been the bedrock of American national security since its inception in 1949. It is arguably the most successful military alliance in the history of the world. The United States, its most powerful member, has been the pillar on which NATO’s entire security architecture has been built.

Yet, now only seven months into the Biden administration, the almost unimaginable incompetence and dereliction of duty displayed by this “President” threaten to tear this alliance apart.

Biden and his court eunuchs may want to portray the Taliban as having evolved and liberalized. This is a lie. We are handing Afghanistan over to terrorists every bit as cruel and evil as those in ISIS.

This administration may also want to attempt to characterize what is happening in Kabul as simply a period of confusion on the way to a more stable and predictable future. Sure, it looks bad on TV, but this too shall pass. ‘There are nothing but blue skies ahead’.

Nothing could be further from the truth. What we are witnessing is a debacle that surpasses in many ways even what we saw in Saigon in 1975. This is a crisis. This is unprecedented. An American President is working against the best interests of his own people and the citizens of allied nations.

We have never seen anything like this. In 1801 the Barbary pirates, Islamic emirates in North Africa, began seizing American ships and seamen and demanded we pay them “tribute.” President Thomas Jefferson sent the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marines to explain we did not take orders from terrorists. We hardly had a Navy or a Marine Corps to send. Yet, the war ended with the point made. The Americans imprisoned were freed. No tribute was paid.

Two hundred and twenty years later, the man commanding the world’s most powerful military is relying upon the Taliban to help our citizens get to safety.

What we are witnessing is a geopolitical crisis. What we are watching may be the end, at least for now, of America’s position as the world’s dominant power. Our enemies are licking their lips. Our allies are trying to decide whether or not they can still trust us.

Biden’s mishandling of Afghanistan may destroy NATO.

The Obama administration has a strategy, and any thinking American should be able to grasp it,” he said. “It is anti-American, anti-Western, it’s pro-Islamic, pro-Iranian and pro-Muslim Brotherhood.”

The Biden regime has the same strategy.

The CIA gave Viagra to old men in Afghanistan so they could rape young boys.

Former President Obama spent $65,000 on hot dogs and pizza.

The American taxpayer funds pedophilia both foreign and domestic.

Currently, Biden (who did not win the election), is shown on video pinching an 8-year old girl's nipple. Can anyone imagine the media cataclysm that would've occurred if former President Trump had done that? Not a word from them.

Sinema dashes House Dems' hopes for $3.5T infrastructure bill

Sinema was a part of a group of senators who crafted a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure plan

Sen. Krysten Sinema, D-Ariz., on Monday said she would not support Democrats’ $3.5 trillion spending plan, potentially dashing hopes of passing the proposal via budget reconciliation.

Sinema was a part of a group of nearly two dozen senators from both parties who crafted and passed a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure plan, which calls for about $550 billion in new federal spending.

In a statement on Monday, she said that proposal should be considered on its own merits despite Democrats’ attempts to push her to support the broader spending bill.

"Proceedings in the U.S. House will have no impact on Kyrsten’s views about what is best for our country - including the fact that she will not support a budget reconciliation bill that costs $3.5 trillion," a Sinema spokesperson told Politico in a statement.

Sinema, along with fellow moderate Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia, voted in favor of advancing Democrats' budget earlier this month, which paved the way for the potential passage of the massive spending plan via the fast-track process known as reconciliation. Legislation passed via reconciliation would eliminate the threat of a Republican filibuster, so long as each Senate Democrat voted in favor of its passage.

Members of the House returned this week to Capitol Hill early from their August recess in order to take up the budget plan and infrastructure.

Centrist Democrats, however, are at odds with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., about holding their infrastructure proposal "hostage" until the party moves forward with the $3.5 trillion spending plan. The group wants the bipartisan infrastructure proposal signed into law before other spending legislation is considered.

Progressive members of the party, however, want the spending plan taken up before the bipartisan infrastructure agreement.

Both Manchin and Sinema have voiced concerns about the price tag of Democrats’ spending proposal, which includes designs for social and welfare programs. They have been in contact with centrist members of the House who also want to move forward with the bipartisan infrastructure plan before broader spending measures, as reported by Politico.
