Where I grew up it was 300 degrees on a cool day

And our entire family lived in an old rolled up newspaper that blew in with the tumblweeds

I tell that to kids today and they don't believe me

The long swabs they shove up a person's nose are the worst

Apart from containing contaminants, the swab is pushed right up close to the brain where the delicate olfactory nerve (sense of smell) resides

If some careless nurse in a rush shoves in the swab and twirls it around (as they do) there is a real risk of permanent damage to the nerve
