While there are still noble teachers in schools today who value parents’ input and seek to strengthen family bonds, rather than destroy them, it will become increasingly difficult for those teachers to stand against the international educational onslaught that seems bound and determined to train teachers to pit students against their parents.

 

Thankfully, parents in Utah have won a small victory against one activist teacher for now. Let’s hope other victories will follow.

During the 33-second video, what sounds like pilots speaking over airwaves relay messages like, “We’ve got a disruptive customer in the back,” “We’d like to divert” and “We need to get off the airplane.” Shouts and sounds of commotion are also heard while ominous music plays.

 

In a tweet Tuesday, the FAA posted the video along with statistics about unruly passengers in 2021.

 

There have been 3,988 unruly reports, including 2,928 reports about passengers refusing to wear a mask, the tweet said. There have also been 693 investigations initiated in 2021, and 132 cases with penalties, according to the FAA’s tweet.

Igor Vovkovinskiy, the tallest man in the United States, has died in Minnesota. He was 38.

Vovkovinskiy came to the Mayo Clinic in 1989 as a child seeking treatment. A tumour pressing against his pituitary gland caused it to secrete abnormal levels of growth hormone. He grew to become the tallest man in the US at 7 feet, 8.33 inches (2 metres, 34.5 centimetres) and ended up staying in Rochester.

 

His older brother, Oleh Ladan of Brooklyn Park, told the Star Tribune of Minneapolis that Vovkovinskiy was a celebrity when he arrived from Ukraine because of his size and the flickering Cold War of the late 1980s. But Ladan said Vovkovinskiy “would have rather lived a normal life than be known.”
