factually FALSE. a virus particle is a tenth of a micron in diameter. the smell of bananas (or anything else) is composed of INDIVIDUAL MOLECULES which are roughly a thousand times smaller. it IS possible to make sub-micron filters, but NO mechanical filter can remove molecules, because if it did, AIR couldn't get thru.
