Pfizer CEO Says Covid-19 Vaccine-Resistant Variant Likely to Emerge – But Pharma Co Has System in Place to Release New “Variant-Specific” Jab in 3 Months

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla on Tuesday said a vaccine-resistant variant will likely emerge.

But don’t worry because the pharma company already has a system in place to release a “variant-specific” jab within 95 days.

Two doses of the Pfizer vaccine plus a booster shot may not be enough to protect from new variants.

So we’re already talking about a fourth Covid jab.

“Every time that the variant appears in the world, our scientists are getting their hands around it,” Bourla told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” “They are researching to see if this variant can escape the protection of our vaccine. We haven’t identified any yet but we believe that it is likely that one day, one of them will emerge.”

ACLU goes to war with South Carolina to demand mask MANDATE in schools

In a seemingly strange twist for a group dedicated to upholding Americans’ civil liberties, the ACLU is demanding that the state of South Carolina allow its schools to mandate their students wear face masks.

“Students with disabilities are effectively being excluded from public schools” because their peers are not forced to wear masks to class, the American Civil Liberties Union tweeted on Tuesday, declaring that “courts must intervene.”

The ACLU filed its suit alongside Disability Rights South Carolina, Able South Carolina, and an unspecified number of parents. They did not explain how children with disabilities were being discriminated against under the mandate, which does not prevent children who want to wear masks from doing so.

Instead, the ACLU cited the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act, observing that vulnerable students – particularly those with existing conditions like diabetes, which could put them at risk if they caught coronavirus – were being “effectively excluded from public schools.” Those laws also prohibit denying students equal access to their education or segregating them unnecessarily, raising the question of how students with respiratory conditions who cannot ‘mask up’ are supposed to receive an education.

Taliban Appoints New Government, Mocking On U.S.

Taliban government in Afghanistan has appointed a new acting Defense Minister. This is a former Guantanamo detainee mullah Abdul Qayyum Zakir.

Qayyum was deputy to the Taliban’s commander-in-chief, Mullah Yaqoob, and was among the first top Taliban commanders to enter Kabul, following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Prior to that, he was detained in the notorious U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba from 2001 to 2007.

Being one of the Taliban commanders in the 1990s, Qayyum was known for his brutality and summary executions. He was allegedly close to Mullah Mohammed Omar, the Taliban’s spiritual leader.

After leaving Guantanamo, he was shortly detained in an Afghan prison on the outskirts of eastern Kabul and then went directly to the battlefield, joining the Taliban.

The Taliban has also reportedly appointed a Finance Minister, Gul Agha Sherzai, who served as a Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs of Afghanistan. Ibrahim Sadr should become acting Interior Minister. Mullah Shirin should become the governor of Kabul Province, and Hamdullah Nomani will serve as a mayor of the capital. The Taliban also appointed the head of intelligence, but his name was not unveiled. According to some reports, this may be Najibullah. Earlier, the Taliban announced the appointment of Haji Mohammad Idris as the new acting head of the country’s Central Bank.
