North Carolina Congressman Madison Cawthorn, the youngest Congressman in history has taken the reigns, calling on Kamala Harris to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Joe Biden from office.

After Joe Biden’s astronomical military failure in Afghanistan which led to the death of 13 or more U.S. troops and many more Afghan civilians, Cawthorn has seen enough.

Cawthorn: This is not a time for impassioned speeches followed by no action. With that in mind when I look to our Commander in Chief, I do not see someone who maliciously makes poor decisions. And yet today we witness devastating heartbreak. American carnage is a direct result of his inept and incompetent actions.

Joe Biden does not simply have a pattern of poor decision-making. His mental decline is on full display. Our enemies know it, Americans have witnessed it. His disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal proves even further, our executive is in crisis. President Biden’s physical inability to lead is not a political talking point. It is a demonstratable fact, our president is not mentally fit to serve as President of these United States.

I truly believe that he is unable to discharge the duties of the office he holds. That is why today, I sent letters to each member of the President’s cabinet, and to the Vice President, asking that they invoke the 25th Amendment of The United States Constitution, and remove Joe Biden from his office. I’m also calling on Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi to immediately call Congress back into session to construct a disability review Council and assess the President’s state. I cannot sit idly by and watch the nation that I love spiral into death and devastation, because our leader cannot discharge his duties. When there is no time to wait, the time for action is now. I take no pleasure in sending this request, the gravity of this weighs heavily on me, but I find no other recourse.

We must not allow this mentally unstable individual to direct our country for one second longer. The future of our Republic must be gaurded the lives of American citizens must be preserved. The time to act is now. Thank you. God bless you and may God bless these United States of America.

Biden’s saying he’s trusting the Taliban at the outer perimeter to let people inside of the inner perimeter at the Kabul airport. They let two bombers in yesterday and killed 13 American troops and he’s still trusting them?

Pentagon Spox John Kirby Says Thousands of ISIS Prisoners Released After Biden’s Botched Withdrawal

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby on Friday said thousands of ISIS prisoners were released after Biden’s withdrawal from Bagram Air Base.

In July, US troops abandoned Bagram Air Base, a strategic military base in Afghanistan, in the dead of the night.

Afghanis looted the abandoned base and thousands of terrorists were released from the two prisons next to Bagram.

Instead of moving the terrorists to Gitmo, Biden allowed them to be released by the Taliban.

“How many ISIS-K prisoners were left at Bagram and are believed to have been released from the prison there and why weren’t they removed before the US pulled out – to some place like Gitmo?” a reporter asked Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.

Kirby said he “doesn’t know the exact number” but it’s in the “thousands.”

On Thursday terrorists killed 13 US servicemen and critically injured at least 15 more because of Joe Biden’s decision to abandon the air base.

‘We’ll have to go back to Afghanistan’ to get ISIS & Al-Qaeda, Obama’s security chief Panetta says after US deaths in Kabul

Leon Panetta, one in a host of voices of the US national security establishment objecting to the withdrawal from Afghanistan, says Joe Biden will have to “go back in” to deliver on a pledge to avenge the deaths of troops in Kabul.

Panetta, who headed the CIA between 2009 and 2011 before moving to replace Robert Gates at the helm of the Pentagon, went on CNN to predict a forever war on terrorism in America’s forceable future, including in Afghanistan.

“I understand that we’re trying to get our troops out of there. But the bottom line is we can leave a battlefield, but we can’t leave the war on terrorrism, which still is a threat to our security,” he told the OutFront program.

The Obama-era official was commenting on President Joe Biden’s promise to go after the Afghan branch of terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS), which claimed credit for the Thursday bomb attacks in Kabul. The bombings claimed dozens of lives, including 13 US soldiers. Panetta said Biden was right to promise to retaliate against the people who orchestrated the bombings, and that pledge may require him to act against his withdrawal plan.

The Taliban has been promising to deny access to Afghanistan territory under its control to international terrorist organizations, including Al-Qaeda, as the Islamist militant movement seeks international recognition of its power in the country. Taliban fighters, who were guarding the perimeter of the Hamid Karzai International Airport, were among the victims of the Thursday attack.

Panetta’s mistrust of the militants’ intentions is not surprising. He made his negative opinion about Biden’s decision to honor a Trump-era agreement with the Taliban to pull out NATO troops from Afghanistan quite clear. Last week, he compared the fall of the US-backed government in Kabul with the failed invasion of post-revolution Cuba under John Kennedy and called on Biden to take responsibility for his ‘Bay of Pigs’ in Kabul.

The sentiment is shared by a long list of former US national security officials, who served under both Democratic and Republican administrations. The criticisms of Biden’s Afghan policy became overwhelming in the US media after the unexpectedly swift takeover of Kabul by the Taliban fighters.

Panetta and other anti-withdrawal pundits happen to share not only that same attitude but also another trait – involvement with the private sector servicing the US military-industrial complex.

In 2014, the former security official joined the defense consulting firm Beacon Global Strategies. The next year he joined the board of software giant Oracle, whose ties with the Pentagon were highlighted recently by the company’s legal fight for a $10bn contract that the DoD gave to competitor Microsoft.

As he predicted that the US would have to “go back in” to Afghanistan, Panetta remained vague about what exactly he envisioned. The Taliban showed no intention to tolerate Western soldiers on Afghan soil after the August 31 evacuation deadline, which the Biden administration wants to keep.

The new analysis relies on the database of Maccabi Healthcare Services, which enrolls about 2.5 million Israelis. The study, led by Tal Patalon and Sivan Gazit at KSM, the system’s research and innovation arm, found in two analyses that people who were vaccinated in January and February were, in June, July, and the first half of August, six to 13 times more likely to get infected than unvaccinated people who were previously infected with the coronavirus. In one analysis, comparing more than 32,000 people in the health system, the risk of developing symptomatic COVID-19 was 27 times higher among the vaccinated, and the risk of hospitalization eight times higher.

This time, the data leave little doubt that natural infection truly is the better option for protection against the delta variant, despite the fact that the US won't acknowledge the already infected as having antibodies protecting them from the virus.

As the first country to achieve widepsread coverage by the vaccine, Israel is now in an unthinkable situation: daily case numbers have reached new record levels as the delta variant penetrates the vaccines' protection like a hot knife slicing through butter.

Court to hear parole request from neo-Nazi mass murderer Anders Breivik 10 years after deadly attacks

A parole hearing for Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik is expected to take place soon – 10 years after the right-wing extremist murdered 77 people and injured over 300 more during two domestic terrorist attacks.

Prosecutor Hulda Karlsdottir told Reuters on Friday that Breivik’s request for parole would be heard in court at an unspecified date in the near future. She said the “central question for the court during the hearing will be whether there is an imminent danger” of Breivik committing further serious offences.

Breivik – an open neo-Nazi who has made the Nazi salute at previous appearances in court – will be eligible to request parole as he will have served over 10 years of his 21-year prison sentence, which could also be extended indefinitely. The Oslo state prosecutor’s office has already rejected an application by Breivik for early release, which is why the decision is going to court.

Prosecutors have said they want the parole hearing to take place in prison, while Breivik and his legal team are fighting for an appearance outside of prison, Norwegian newspaper VG reported, according to Reuters.

Breivik was sentenced to the maximum Norwegian sentence of 21 years in prison in August 2012 after he murdered 77 people in two domestic terrorist attacks on July 22, 2011.

The far-right terrorist set off a bomb in Oslo outside of then-Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg’s office, killing eight people, before moving on to a Labour Party youth summer camp in Viken, where he killed a further 69 people and injured at least 110.

His attacks were the deadliest in Norway since World War 2.

The 10th anniversary of the attacks was commemorated last month in a memorial attended by Prime Minister Erna Solberg, along with survivors and family members of those who were killed.

Judge Slaps Down DeSantis Order Banning Mask Mandates In Florida

It looks like another pandemic-related issue is headed to the Supreme Court, after a Florida judge struck down a ban on mask mandates issued by Governor Ron DeSantis, according to the Associated Press.

DeSantis 'overstepped his authority' by issuing an executive order banning the mandates, according to Leon County Circuit Judge John C. Cooper, ruling that the EO was unconstitutional and cannot be enforced.

The order, which gave parents the sole right to decide if their child will wear a mask at school, was deemed by Cooper to be "without legal authority."

His decision came after a three-day virtual hearing, and after at least 10 Florida school boards voted to defy DeSantis and impose mask requirements with no parental opt-out.

Cooper said that while the governor and others have argued that a new Florida law gives parents the ultimate authority to oversee health issues for their children, it also exempts government actions that are needed to protect public health and are reasonable and limited in scope. He said a school district’s decision to require student masking to prevent the spread of the virus falls within that exemption.

The judge also noted that two Florida Supreme Court decisions from 1914 and 1939 found that individual rights are limited by their impact on the rights of others. For example, he said, adults have the right to drink alcohol but not to drive drunk. There is a right to free speech, but not to harass or threaten others or yell “fire” in a crowded theater, he said. -AP

Denmark To Scrap All Covid-19 Restrictions

Denmark will on September 10th stop classifying Covid-19 as an "illness which is a critical threat to society", meaning all remaining special pandemic restrictions will expire, The Local reported. In a press release issued on Friday morning, the country’s health minister Magnus Heunicke said that the high level of vaccination in Denmark, particularly among the vulnerable, had radically altered the risks posed by the virus.

“The epidemic is under control, we have record high vaccination rates,” he said in a statement. “As a result, on September 10th, we can drop some of the special rules we have had to introduce in the fight against Covid-19.”

September 10th marks the expiry date for that the executive order classifying Covid-19 as a “socially critical illness”, which was passed by the Danish parliament’s Epidemic Committee on March 10th last year.

The parties in the centre-right blue bloc, led by the Liberal Party, have already said that they believe that Covid-19 should no longer be classed as a serious threat to society, and the health ministry’s announcement came less than an hour before the ruling Social Democrats were due to discuss the issue with the other parties in the Epidemic Committee.

“When it sinks in for the Social Democrat government that they are in a minority, they then come up with better ideas just 45 minutes before the meeting in the Epidemic Committee is starting,” said Sophie Løhde, a member of the committee for the Liberal Party.

A number of restrictions are set to lapse on September 1st, notably the requirement to show a valid coronapas to sit in restaurants and bars, and the ban on discos and nightclubs.

Friday’s announcement means that just ten days after nightclubs reopen on September 1st, visitors will no longer have to show a coronapas, and it also means that from September 10th, those going to watch a Superliga football match or attend an outdoor event with more than 2,000 people, will no longer need a coronapas.

The change in the classification of Covid-19 will not, however, affect rules on travel into Denmark, which are governed by a separate inter-party agreement which is due to expire in October, a spokesperson for the health ministry said.

According to media report, the building is called Kaixuan International Building and has a unique shape with a middle structure that connects two towers (it was not immediately clear if the building belongs to that other conflagration, Evergrande). The tower complex reportedly houses 818 people in 419 condos. Footage from a distance shows the building's middle section, and the left tower is ablaze.

Japan Suspects Contaminant In Moderna Vaccines Is Metallic, 'Reacts To Magnets'

The Japanese Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that around 1.6 million doses of Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine have been taken out of use due to contamination in some vials that 'reacts to magnets,' according to a ministry official.

Several vaccination centers reported finding foreign matter in the doses.

"It's a substance that reacts to magnets," the official told Nikkei, adding "It could be metal."

Moderna, meanwhile, has confirmed receiving "several complaints of particulate matter" in vials distributed in Japan, but that "not safety or efficacy issues" were found related to the reports.

"The company is investigating the reports and remains committed to working transparently and expeditiously with its partner, Takeda, and regulators to address any potential concerns," a spokesperson told Nikkei, adding that a "manufacturing issue" at a plant in Spain was to blame.

After the complaints, the vaccine lot in question as well as two adjacent lots have been taken out of circulation "out of an abundance of caution," according to the spokesperson.

Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga told reporters on Thursday afternoon that he had instructed the ministry to look into the case with safety as the top priority, adding he had received reports that the withdrawal "won't have a significant impact on the country's vaccination campaign." -Nikkei

Taliban vows to protect portraits of Queen Elizabeth II in UK’s Kabul embassy after chaotic exit – reports

A Taliban patrol reportedly vowed to protect portraits of Queen Elizabeth II in the UK’s embassy in Kabul from looters after diplomatic officials left the country in a haste last week before the group captured the city.

In a Thursday article, The Times war correspondent Anthony Lloyd wrote about his recent experience accompanying a Taliban patrol “through Kabul’s abandoned diplomatic quarter in search of a portrait of the Queen,” following the US and UK’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.

According to Lloyd, many items were left in the embassy, highlighting the rush of the evacuation, including bulletproof vests, books, dinner table placards – and even sensitive documents which could be used by the Taliban to identify Afghan collaborators with the UK.

One particular detail, however, caught the attention of social media; Lloyd reported that the Taliban had vowed “to protect the embassy and any portrait of the Queen they found from looters.”

Patriotic Brits on Twitter thanked the Taliban for protecting Her Majesty’s image, with one user writing, “Cheers boys, Allah save the Queen.”

Others pointed out the irony of the Taliban protecting portraits of the Queen when a group of students at one of the UK’s most prestigious universities, Oxford University, voted in favor of removing the Queen’s portrait from their common room in June. The move was led by a wealthy American student who claimed that the Queen’s image represented “recent colonial history.”

Taliban Says 28 Of Its Members Killed In Blasts, Blames US For "Chaotic Evacuation"

The total death toll from Thursday's devastating twin suicide bombing attacks has climbed to over 100 dead by Friday. At least 13 American troops were killed, most of them Marines, in what's being widely acknowledged as the deadliest single day of America's military presence in the country since 2011. Previously in August 2011 a Chinook helicopter was shot down over Afghanistan, killing 31 Americans and 7 Afghan allied troops.

The Taliban is subsequently claiming that at least 28 of its own members were killed in the Thursday attacks at the airport. "We have lost more people than the Americans," an unnamed Taliban official was cited in Reuters as saying on Friday. The Taliban vowed to step up its security around the airport perimeter amid reports that ISIS-K is preparing to mount more attacks.

President Biden and the White House also made clear late Thursday that the US will continue to cooperate with the Taliban's security presence out of "mutual self-interest". However the administration was slammed in press conferences over reports that it handed the Taliban lists of green card holders and Afghans permitted entry to the US who had previously worked with Western forces - tantamount to giving the hardline Islamists an execution list.

Meanwhile more details of how the attacks unfolded continue to emerge: "A suicide bomb attack at the airport’s Abbey Gate was followed by an assault by gunmen, officials said," The Wall Street Journal details. "Another bomb attack took place nearby, at a hotel outside the airport, officials said. Eighteen U.S. service members were injured, the Pentagon said."

The Pentagon confirmed that the American injured are "in the process of being aero-medically evacuated from Afghanistan on specially equipped C-17s with embarked surgical units".

In addition to the 90 civilians dead, Afghan health officials at the capital city's crowded hospitals say more are fighting for their lives, and expect the death toll will likely rise higher. In the immediate aftermath of the tragic scene, many survivors - some barely hanging on - were seen being taken away in wheel barrows as ambulances couldn't make it far into the body-strewn and blood stained street.

Thousands had been packed near airport entrance gates when the blasts went off, creating a huge killing zone given the number of men, women, and children packed so closely together. The Taliban has further blamed the US for the "chaotic evacuation" that precipitated the deadly attacks, according to one Taliban official interviewed by Reuters.

Microsoft Warns Thousands of Cloud Customers of Exposed Databases

SAN FRANCISCO—Microsoft on Thursday warned thousands of its cloud computing customers, including some of the world’s largest companies, that intruders could have the ability to read, change or even delete their main databases, according to a copy of the email and a cyber security researcher.

The vulnerability is in Microsoft Azure’s flagship Cosmos DB database. A research team at security company Wiz discovered it was able to access keys that control access to databases held by thousands of companies. Wiz Chief Technology Officer Ami Luttwak is a former chief technology officer at Microsoft’s Cloud Security Group.

Because Microsoft cannot change those keys by itself, it emailed the customers Thursday telling them to create new ones. Microsoft agreed to pay Wiz $40,000 for finding the flaw and reporting it, according to an email it sent to Wiz.

“We fixed this issue immediately to keep our customers safe and protected. We thank the security researchers for working under coordinated vulnerability disclosure,” Microsoft told Reuters.

Microsoft’s email to customers said there was no evidence the flaw had been exploited. “We have no indication that external entities outside the researcher (Wiz) had access to the primary read-write key,” the email said.

“This is the worst cloud vulnerability you can imagine. It is a long-lasting secret,” Luttwak told Reuters. “This is the central database of Azure, and we were able to get access to any customer database that we wanted.”

Luttwak’s team found the problem, dubbed ChaosDB, on Aug. 9 and notified Microsoft on Aug. 12, Luttwak said.

The flaw was in a visualization tool called Jupyter Notebook, which has been available for years but was enabled by default in Cosmos beginning in February. After Reuters reported on the flaw, Wiz detailed the issue in a blog post.

Luttwak said even customers who have not been notified by Microsoft could have had their keys swiped by attackers, giving them access until those keys are changed. Microsoft only told customers whose keys were visible this month, when Wiz was working on the issue.

Microsoft told Reuters that “customers who may have been impacted received a notification from us,” without elaborating.

The disclosure comes after months of bad security news for Microsoft. The company was breached by the same suspected Russian government hackers that infiltrated SolarWinds, who stole Microsoft source code. Then a wide number of hackers broke into Exchange email servers while a patch was being developed.

A recent fix for a printer flaw that allowed computer takeovers had to be redone repeatedly. Another Exchange flaw last week prompted an urgent U.S. government warning that customers need to install patches issued months ago because ransomware gangs are now exploiting it.

Problems with Azure are especially troubling, because Microsoft and outside security experts have been pushing companies to abandon most of their own infrastructure and rely on the cloud for more security.

But though cloud attacks are more rare, they can be more devastating when they occur. What’s more, some are never publicized.

A federally contracted research lab tracks all known security flaws in software and rates them by severity. But there is no equivalent system for holes in cloud architecture, so many critical vulnerabilities remain undisclosed to users, Luttwak said.

Lawyer for Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey fired after child solicitation bust

A staff attorney for Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has been terminated following his “shocking” arrest on child solicitation charges, officials said.

Chase Tristian Espy, 36, was arrested on a felony charge of child solicitation by computer late Wednesday, Jefferson County Jail records show. The deputy general counsel for Ivey was fired early Thursday, the Republican governor’s office confirmed to The Post.

“The allegations against Mr. Espy are serious, tragic and shocking,” Ivey’s office said in a statement. “While he was employed by our office for only a few months, Mr. Espy has been terminated. As this is an ongoing investigation, no further information is available at this time.”

The alleged crime occurred on March 25. A spokeswoman for Ivey’s office did not immediately return a message seeking comment on when Espy was hired. The Vestavia Hills man was released from custody early Thursday after posting $30,000 bond, jail records show.

Espy was busted by cops in Homewood outside Birmingham, police told AL.com. Sgt. John Carr declined to provide further details, but said the arrest was part of an ongoing investigation involving crimes targeting children.

Espy, who earned his law degree from the University of Alabama, had previously served as a law clerk for then-Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions in 2009. He also worked as legislative counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee, WIAT reported.

A message left on a phone listed in Espy’s name was not immediately returned and it’s unclear if he’s hired an attorney who could speak on his behalf. His LinkedIn profile that identified him as deputy general counsel in Ivey’s office was no longer available as of Friday.

‘Stop AAPI Hate Coalition’ Demands U.S. Terminate Program Fighting Chinese Communist Party Spies.

Over 20 advocacy groups comprising the “Stop AAPI Hate” coalition sent a letter demanding the Biden White House terminate the Department of Justice’s Trump-era “China Initiative” – which identifies and prosecutes Chinese Communist Party espionage operations – and publicly discredit the COVID-19 “lab leak” theory.

The six-page letter from leaders of various groups comprising the “Stop AAPI Hate” movement calls for “substantive policy change,” including the termination of the Justice Department’s China Initiative.

Inaugurated under the Trump administration in November 2018, the effort “identified a number of goals for the Department, ranging from increased focus on the investigation and prosecution of trade secret theft and economic espionage, to better countering threats posed by Chinese foreign investment and supply chain vulnerabilities.”

Several convictions of researchers and consultants failing to disclose ties to the Chinese Communist Party and its military have been carried out under the program.

The various “AAPI” interest groups, however, identity the initiative as “subject[ing] Asian American and Asian immigrant scientists and others — particularly those of Chinese descent — to racial profiling, surveillance and wrongful prosecutions, where no evidence of economic espionage or trade secret theft exists” in the letter.

Signatories also affirmed COVID-19 counting natural origins, linking the “lab leak” theory to the “false scapegoating of Asian Americans as somehow to blame for the pandemic.”

In the coming weeks, your Administration is set to report out on its 90-day investigation into the origins of COVID-19. The sad but undeniable truth is that the simple existence of that report will put our communities at risk. We recognize your Administration’s legitimate interest in identifying the source of this pandemic for the purpose of preventing future outbreaks. At the same time, perception matters. And when your review was announced, many interpreted it as a validation of the so-called “lab leak” theory.

As you well know, while most scientists agree that transmission via natural origins is a more likely explanation, the hypothesis that COVID originated from Chinese laboratory experiments has sparked a flurry of conspiracy theories that have been weaponized by politicians and pundits resulting in a false scapegoating of Asian Americans as somehow to blame for the pandemic.

The chief purveyors of these conspiracy theories are not interested in getting to the bottom of whether an accidental outbreak could have occurred in a laboratory setting. Instead, they aim to deflect criticism about the early U.S. response to the pandemic and direct blame at China and, by extension, Asian Americans. They are frequently the same people who use racist monikers for the virus and demonize immigrants.

Chinese state-run media outlets have given the letter favorable coverage by amplifying its demands to halt the DOJ’s China Initiative.

CDC restarts gun violence research; Director Walensky wants gun rights activists to be involved

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky is restarting the agency's discontinued gun violence research program, expanding the bureaucracy's mission beyond controlling and preventing infectious disease to include studying what President Joe Biden has called a "gun violence public health epidemic."

In an interview with CNN published Friday, Walensky called gun violence a "serious public health threat" and said "something has to be done about this."

According to CNN, an average of 200 people have been killed and 472 people were injured by guns each weekend this summer, not including suicides. The network's Gun Violence Archive reports more than 15,700 people in the U.S. have committed suicide with a firearm so far this year.

"I swore to the President and to this country that I would protect your health. This is clearly one of those moments, one of those issues that is harming America's health," Walensky said.

Under her direction, the agency is spending more than $2 million to fund an initiative that provides surveillance data in near-real time on emergency visits to the hospital for nonfatal firearm injuries. The CDC is tracking the intent of the injuries, whether they were intentionally self-directed (a suicide attempt), an unintentional accident, or related to an assault.

The CDC is also spending more than $8 million on 18 different studies to investigate gun violence and means of preventing injury from firearms.

Examples of those studies include looking at the effectiveness of a suicide awareness program in Colorado gun stores or studying whether a Vermont program to educate children about how to safely use and store firearms prevents injuries.

A 2015 study cited by CNN estimated that 4.6 million children in the U.S. lived with loaded and unlocked firearms in their households.

Walensky said that CDC funding for this research is meant to learn what causes gun violence, how widespread the issue is, and what means of prevention can be applied nationally to mitigate injury or death from firearms.

"My job is to understand and evaluate the problem, to understand the scope of the problem, to understand why this happens and what are the things that can make it better — to research that, to scale that up, to evaluate it and to make sure that we can integrate it into communities," she told CNN. "We have a lot of work to do in every single one of those areas because we haven't done a lot of work as a nation in almost any of them."

Walensky denies that the CDC is interested in advocating for gun control, going so far as to avoid using the word "gun," preferring the term "firearm" instead.

"Generally, the word gun, for those who are worried about research in this area, is followed by the word control, and that's not what I want to do here," she explained. "I'm not here about gun control. I'm here about preventing gun violence and gun death."

She told CNN that her hope is for gun owners and Second Amendment activists to cooperate with the CDC to promote gun safety and reduce the number of injuries and deaths caused by firearms in the U.S. The CDC director was insistent that her programs are not about taking people's guns away.

“People are upset because their senior leaders let them down and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying ‘we messed this up,” Scheller said in the video posted Thursday on Facebook and LinkedIn that has since gone viral. The comments were noted by Task and Purpose.

“If an O-5 battalion commander has the simplest live fire incident, EO complaint. Boom. Fired,” he added. “But we have a secretary of defense that testified to Congress in May that the Afghan National Security Forces could withstand the Taliban advance. We have Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs — who the commandant is a member of that — who’s supposed to advise on military policy. We have a Marine combatant commander. All of these people are supposed to advise.”

“I’m not saying we’ve got to be in Afghanistan forever, but I am saying: Did any of you throw your rank on the table and say ‘hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone,'” the 17-year Marine veteran said.

House Republicans File Articles of Impeachment for Secretary Antony Blinken

House Republicans have filed articles of impeachment for State Department Secretary Antony Blinken Friday in the aftermath of 13 U.S. service member deaths in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) and Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) introduced the articles in which they cited Blinken’s “failures in leadership over [the] Afghanistan situation,” Fox News first reported.

The filed articles of impeachment follow five House Republicans demanding someone from Biden’s administration to immediately resign or be fired. That includes Reps. Mary Miller (IL), Mike Johnson (LA), Don Bacon (NE), Chris Stewart (UT), and Jackie Walorski (ID).

The demand for Blinken to be held accountable comes in the wake of U.S. officials handing over a list of names of Americans, green card holders, and Afghan allies to the Taliban terrorists, Politico reported Thursday.

The list of names, dubbed a “kill list,” was presumably given to the Taliban to allow evacuees through the enemy lines of the Taliban:

The move, detailed to POLITICO by three U.S. and congressional officials, was designed to expedite the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from Afghanistan as chaos erupted in Afghanistan’s capital city last week after the Taliban seized control of the country. It also came as the Biden administration has been relying on the Taliban for security outside the airport.

Since the fall of Kabul in mid-August, nearly 100,000 people have been evacuated, most of whom had to pass through the Taliban’s many checkpoints. But the decision to provide specific names to the Taliban, which has a history of brutally murdering Afghans who collaborated with the U.S. and other coalition forces during the conflict, has angered lawmakers and military officials.

U.S. officials also stated Thursday they were relying on the Taliban to provide outer security at the Kabul airport.

France Wants Migration Deal – So They Can Send More Asylum Seekers to Britain

The French government is seeking a new deal with Britain on illegal immigration – not so that boat migrants can be returned to their shores, but so that they can direct even more migrants on to the UK.

France’s push to “expel, or direct a certain number of migrants to the UK so they can request asylum” marks the latest humiliation for Home Secretary Priti Patel MP, the government minister with broad responsibility for border control, policing, and national security in the Boris Johnson administration.

Patel, who was elevated to head of the Home Office as an MP with something of a tough reputation, had promised that the Channel migrant crisis — first declared a “major incident” by the government all the way back in 2018 — when Britain was freed from European Union rules at the beginning of this year, but it has only gotten worse, with the arrival of over 800 illegals on Saturday marking yet another new record for a single day.

The Johnson administration has long tied its own hands behind its back by declining to simply turn boat migrants back at sea, given none of them face peril or persecution in France, insisting on trying to cook up a deal with France and the wider European Union on returns.

Such a prospect now seems dimmer than ever, with the country’s Europe minister, Clement Beaune, saying it does want a deal with Britain — but one to let them direct even more migrants to the United Kingdom.

“We must, after Brexit, have a new migratory deal no doubt between the EU and Britain so that we can expel, or direct a certain number of migrants to the UK so they can request asylum,” Beaune said to CNews, according to a Telegraph report.

“It’s [Britain’s] responsibility,” the Frenchman insisted.

“We have seen sometimes that it is the attractiveness of Britain’s asylum system that is in question,” he continued, complaining that “We are the ones who have paid a high price over the past 10 years – we see it in Calais regarding organisation, humanitarian aid and police checks.”
