Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ended up cancelling an election rally in Bolton, Ontario on Friday after a crowd of angry protesters assembled at the site of the event and started shouting obscenities before the politician had a chance to speak, the BBC reports.

Following a two-hour delay, the event was cancelled while Trudeau’s campaign bus had to be escorted away by cops.

According to the media outlet, Trudeau’s recent canvassing efforts ahead of the upcoming snap general election, which is scheduled to be held on 20 September, have been "dogged by protests against Covid-19 vaccines and government restrictions," as vaccine mandates apparently became "a key issue in the general election campaign."

Here come the Terrorists

KABUL (AFP) - Order replaced chaos at Kabul airport Saturday (Aug 28) with Taleban fighters escorting a steady stream of Afghans from buses to the main passenger terminal, handing them over to US troops for evacuation.

Gone are the tens of thousands clamouring to get inside the airport grounds in the hope of getting aboard a flight before Aug 31, when the US-led evacuation ends and the last foreign troops depart.

The deadly Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) suicide blast at a secondary entrance on Thursday likely scared away many looking for a way to escape the return to power of the hardline Islamists, but the Taleban have also sealed off all roads leading to the airport and are now only letting sanctioned buses pass.

Aug 27 (Reuters) - A U.S. federal judge said on Friday she will rule by Sept. 3 on whether to grant a request from Native Americans to temporarily block Lithium Americas Corp (LAC.TO) from excavating its Nevada mine site, which would become one of the country's biggest sources of the electric-vehicle battery metal.

A ruling for the Native Americans could signal the court may block the entire project, which was approved by the outgoing Trump administration in January.

Chief Judge Miranda Du of the federal court in Reno, Nevada, held a Friday hearing to determine whether archaeological digging at the Thacker Pass site should be blocked while she considers the broader question of whether approval should have been granted in the first place

So the US Government knew so little about what was happening in Afghanistan that they had no idea the Afghan Security Forces would evaporate and the Taliban immediately take over, but they were able to find within 24 hours the precise ISIS-K "planner" to kill? OK.
