My wife is due to deliver in the late fall. Because we won't get the jab, we're terrified that the hospital will either flat out refuse to deliver the baby, or will prevent us from seeing/leaving with the baby.

We live in western NC. How serious of a possibility is this? If this was happening en masse, I feel we would be seeing it all over the place, not just one example.

Do we have any recourse (it wouldn't be a private hospital)? We have fake cards just in case, but I doubt they wouldn't dig deeper than a yes or no question. We've seen a number of horror stories involving pregnancies and the vaccines, so there's zero chance we're taking it. What options do we even have?

LITERALLY ANY HELP IS WELCOMED!

You anons are the best, keep up the amazing work.

Third. This state is terrible, it's illegal to have a child at home with the assistance of a midwife.

There are birthing centers we can go to that are more natural, but our concern is that midwives are run through/trained through hospitals. So I don't know if they'll push the same horrible policies.

She has an OB, but our paranoia is giving us the impression that even asking this could be painting a target on our backs. Delivering a child at home with midwife assistance is illegal in this state, and both of us aren't confident in our abilities to just try this ourselves.
