Jones wasn't completely crazy. The dismaying thing about classic totalitarian mind is that any given gear, thought mutilated, will have at its circumference unbroken sequences of teeth that are immaculately maintained, that are exquisitely machined.

Hence the cuckoo clock in Hell - keeping perfect time for eight minutes and twenty-three seconds, jumping ahead fourteen minutes, keeping perfect time for six seconds, jumping ahead two seconds, keeping perfect time for two hours and one second, then jumping ahead a year.

The missing teeth, of course, are simple, obvious truths, truths available and comprehensible even to ten-year-olds, in most cases.

28 September 2012 - Hungary-based development stage technology holding company Power of the Dream Ventures Inc (OTC:PWRV) has taken over US biotechnology firm Genetic Immunity Inc, the buyer said today without disclosing fianncial details.

 

Genetic Immunity is a clinical stage technology company engaging in the development of nano-medicine-based therapeutic vaccines against infectious diseases, cancer, allergy, AIDS, and other chronic conditions. The deal gives the Hungarian company access to a market that is expected to top USD11bn (EUR8.5bn) by 2018, the buyer noted.

 

The acquisition will be followed by Genetic Immunity's initial public offering (IPO), which is expected to serve the interests of all shareholders of the two companies. With the listing, the buyer expects to benefit from the growing appetite for technology companies on the market, Viktor Rozsnyay, chief executive of Power of the Dream Ventures, said.

 

Commenting on the transaction, the target's CEO Julianna Lisziewicz said it fits into its strategy to become a public company while keeping control over the business. The acquisition will result in significant growth and strong return on investment for its shareholders, she added.

 

Genetic Immunity's flagship product candidate is DermaVir, a therapeutic vaccine for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, which is currently treated with antiretroviral drugs that reduce the immune system's ability to combat the disease.
