I can't prove it, but I think the internet as a whole is being altered. Not even sure if by whitehays or DS.
Just my personal impression.
Just little hints. I get more updating (with larger filesizes) on a weekly for my 2 phones than a year and longer ago.
Backing up data each month from phone to offline computers now only works on Linux in 2 steps now (before win7 direct copy to usb, now copy to linux ssd dummy, then to usb stick).
I now (for about 1 month) get notifications that are nothing/nil. Just a notification sound to pull my attention away from what I'm doing offline, when checking - nothing there. Mostly when I'm cooking in the kitchen.
On my second phone (which I only ise to provide internet via bluetooth) I realized leeching of volume (up to 10 mb) even if I shut the phone down completly.
Just some of the little unusual hints …
I also talk /w my smokedetectors a lot ("hey google, you just eff'd yourself" and similar), because I have the strong suspition they are bugged. They are mandated here by german law.
I'm not paranoid, or not paranoid enough … you get my drift …

Also got told once by an app (can't recall which) that my location was at southpole. I live in Europe - german/danish border. Quite odd imo.
Now i remember. T'was instagram.
Made an acc yeats ago when I still had my (now offline) comp connected to a hardline. Not using that app, but someone tryed to hack ot from Vermont. Changed PW and had a short look, location stated I was at southpole …
A nother hint.
I know my locals courthouse telephone number by heart. When I call there now the female computer voice anounces that number has no connection. But when I look at my recent calls the number I called has a name assigned to it - exactly of my local court (name not assigned by me!).
In last two months glasfiber is being rolled out in my town.
