Anon has been studying the use of the calendar for the purposes of social control, attention management, offense and defense.

It would be very difficult to calculate dates over long periods when different cultures employed different calendars, celebrated different days, employed different mathematical calculations and so one.

A time traveler would have a very tough time, except that there's an independent system, not really a calendar, that gives a "julian number" to every day

The Julian day or Julian day number (JDN) is the number of days that have passed since the initial epoch defined as noon Universal Time (UT) Monday, 1 January 4713 BC in the Julian calendar. That noon-to-noon day is defined as Julian day 0. Thus all JDNs that are evenly divisible by 7 are Mondays.

If Anons plan to time travel, Julian day numbers would seem the way to insure you arrive at the correct time.
