Two mayors, in different states, but only 60 miles apart, have suddenly died this summer. One in Maryland, the other in West Virginia.
"Mount Airy Mayor Patrick Rockinberg, who served as the mayor of the town shared by Carroll and Frederick counties for more than a decade, has died at the age of 58. Town officials announced the news in a release Sunday, saying that Rockinberg had died after serving as mayor for the past 11 years. The release did not disclose a cause of death."
