Very sorry for your loss anon. Now be strong for your spouse anon and her immediate family, they'll need you. Things go real fuzzy with any loss but an unexpected loss even worse, then this compounds the confusion and hurt. Prayers up.
Exactly this. As much as anon would love to be living in Texas that is not the case. Strangely enough the locals don't call. Not complaining just observing.

Cancelling my long time (decades, several) Season tickets was a wise decision and not only because I just can't support sportsball anymore. I could have made bank (front row 40) off some other poor smuck into perpetuity but no, they killed the golden goose. When I saw Saints tickets going off for <$1 before this announcement I was sure. Now I'm positive and oh so comfy.
