NGO Capture: How George Soros Bought out the UN Human Rights Commissioner

Ignored by the MSM, Jay Sekulow’s European Center for Law & Justice (ECLJ) has released a groundbreaking report detailing how left-wing NGOs have infiltrated the office of the United Nations Human Rights Commissioner to advance a radical Open Borders and pro-abortion agenda.

The report “The Financing of UN Experts” comes on the heels of ECLJ’s similarly revealing report on the influence of Open Society and other left-wing NGOs on the European Court of Human Rights, “ECHR: Conflicts of Interest Between Judges and NGOs” (Gateway Pundit reported).

The ECHR was key in enshrining a radical Open Borders policy in the EU since the landmark 2012 “Hirsi Jamaa and Others v Italy” case, which first criminalized border security as so-called “pushbacks” or “refoulement,” and obliged countries like Italy to let in illegal migrants or pay €15,000 “damages” to each illegal migrant.

Similarly, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva pushes to enshrine Open Borders and the “rights of (illegal) migrants”, and other radical progressive policies in so-called “international law”.

The ECLJ report found that the UN Human Rights Commissioner relies increasingly on funding from “a small number” of foundations and NGOs, “in particular the Ford, Open Society, MacArthur, Call for Code (founded and chaired by Bill Clinton) Foundations, as well as Microsoft, Counterpart International, and Wellspring Philanthropic Fund.”

The research was based on “a series of interviews with UN experts and on the analysis of financial disclosures published annually between 2015 and 2019 by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights”, the OHCHR Special Rapporteurs, as well as by the main foundations funding the system, “namely the Ford and Open Society foundations.”

At least 52 of the 222 Special Rapporteurs since 2010 hold, or have held, positions in Open Society or an NGO funded by the Ford or Open Society Foundations, such as the Center for Reproductive Rights or the International Center for Transitional Justice, the ECLJ report found. Among these 52 experts, fourteen have exercised (or still exercise) responsibility within Amnesty International. Twelve experts exercise some responsibility within the International Commission of Jurists. Six experts hold responsibilities within Open Society Foundations, four hold responsibilities within Human Rights Watch, and one expert is involved with the Helsinki Committee.

Between 2015 and 2019, 40% of the OHCHR Special Procedures budget came from such extra-budgetary funding from a few states, NGOs, and private foundations, ECLJ writes. The study found a “lack of transparency” in external funding by NGOs and “a growing phenomenon of capture of the Human Rights Council system by a few actors.”

Theoretically, UN Special Rapporteurs require “independence, impartiality, personal integrity, and objectivity”, according to Resolution 5/1 of June 18, 2007. Experts must take an oath to “exercise my functions from a completely impartial, loyal and conscientious standpoint … without seeking or accepting any instruction from any other party whatsoever.”

Opaque Finances

However, UN Experts are currently allowed to receive funds directly from external NGOs, “avoiding the OHCHR’s control and monetary deductions”, ECLJ writes. “These direct funds are markedly opaque.” Thus financial statements were either omitted or opaque, as were the terms and purposes of payments and the agreements with donors.

According to one expert, this “gray area” is expanding dangerously, as direct donations increased from $2,099,503 to $2,646,678 per year between 2015 and 2019.

“Between 2015 and 2019, 37 of 121 experts reported receiving an additional 134 direct financial payments totaling $10,725,328, mostly from private donors. One expert reported receiving more than $2 million, another expert more than $1 million, six others more than $500,000, and a further eleven more than $100,000″, ECLJ reports.

“$5,515,523 were paid by private foundations and NGOs, of which $2,190,000 was paid by the Ford Foundation to nine mandate-holders and $1,584,517 was paid by the Open Society Foundations to six mandate-holders. Four mandate-holders were funded by both the Ford and Open Society Foundations.” One expert, the head of an NGO, reports that she hired eight salaried staff to support her work thanks to Open Society funds.

As Endpoints News notes, "A former senior FDA leader told Endpoints that they’re departing because they’re frustrated that CDC and their ACIP committee are involved in decisions that they think should be up to the FDA. The former FDAer also said he’s heard they’re upset with CBER director Peter Marks for not insisting that those decisions should be kept inside FDA. What finally did it for them was the White House getting ahead of FDA on booster shots."

The departures mark the latest setback for the federal agency which still lacks a permanent leader.

FDA’s former acting chief scientist Luciana Borio added on Twitter, “FDA is losing two giants who helped bring us many safe and effective vaccines over decades of public service.”

“These two are the leaders for Biologic (vaccine) review in the US. They have a great team, but these two are the true leaders of CBER. A huge global loss if they both leave,” Former BARDA director Rick Bright wrote, weighing in on the news. “Dr. Gruber is much more than the Director. She is a global leader. Visionary mastermind behind global clinical regulatory science for flu, Ebola, Mers, Zika, Sars-cov-2, many others.”

‘BURN IN HELL’: Families of slain troops RAGE at Biden as Facebook suspends grieving mother after angry posts aimed at president

Several parents of the US Marines killed by a suicide bomber in Kabul have vented their anger at President Joe Biden, with Facebook intervening to censor one mother’s rant.

Biden traveled to Dover Air Force Base in his home state of Delaware on Sunday to pay respect to the 13 slain American service members arriving back from Afghanistan in flag-draped coffins. The reception from some parents, however, was hostile.

The meeting “didn’t go well,” Mark Schmitz, father of 20-year-old Marine Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Monday. Biden “talked a bit more about his own son than he did my son, and that didn't sit well with me,” Schmitz added, referring to Biden's well-reported habit of bringing up his own late son while empathizing with the families of fallen veterans.

Shana Chappell, mother of slain US Marine Kareem Nikoui, noticed the same. In a post to Facebook she described how she told Biden “don’t make it about you,” and complained that the president “rolled [his] f**king eyes” like he was “annoyed with me.” Addressing Biden, Chappell wrote that “the only reason I was talking to you was out of respect for my son…You are a weak human being and a traitor.”

Chappell made similar posts on Instagram, which resulted in her account being temporarily suspended, along with her Facebook account. After an outcry by conservative pundits and lawmakers, Chappell’s accounts were reinstated, with Facebook telling the New York Post on Tuesday that the accounts were “incorrectly deleted.”

Biden drew flak for apparently checking his watch as the dead troops’ remains were being wheeled off transport planes at Dover AFB on Sunday. “I actually leaned into my son's mother's ear and I said ‘I swear to God if he checks his watch one more time…’ and [that] was probably only four times in,” Schmitz told Hannity. “I couldn't look at him anymore after that, considering, especially, the time and why we were there. I found it to be the most disrespectful thing I'd ever seen.”

Crowds support Scottish feminist on trial for ‘hate crime’ over tweets deemed anti-transgender

Crowds have gathered outside a Glasgow court and have been sharing their views online, demanding that a judge drop charges against a feminist activist who is accused of a hate crime against the transgender community.

On Tuesday, Marion Millar, a Scottish feminist campaigner accused of hate crime, arrived at Glasgow Sheriff Court for her previously delayed trial. Her arrival saw a large crowd of supporters wave flags and chant “Women won't wheesht!” (‘women won’t be silent’).

Millar, a 50-year-old accountant from Airdrie and member of the For Women Scotland group, has been charged by Scottish authorities over two separate complaints. It is believed the complaints relate to tweets posted in 2019 and 2020 which were deemed to be transphobic and homophobic.

The activist has frequently shared her views on social media. In one tweet showing images of male-appearing trans women, she referred to them as “filthy predators” and said the “cult” should be kept away from schools, according to screenshots online.

Her supporters contend that she is standing up for hard-won women’s rights amid increasing pressure from LGBTQ+ campaigners who label her a ‘terf’ – a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist.”

Millar’s case has drawn widespread attention since she was charged with a hate crime in June, with many contending that the decision of the Scottish prosecutor to press charges against the feminist campaigner is the death knell for free speech. Millar faces two years in jail if convicted.

Those who showed their support in Glasgow on Tuesday were largely supported by online commenters, as Millar’s name trended on Twitter, along with the hashtag “WomenWontWheesht,” a call popularized by the activist.

“I stand with Marion Millar” many wrote, with one calling on other women to “rise up” against her treatment. “We are the granddaughters of the witches you could not burn,” she added, a reference to a ‘witch hunt’ which Millar believes she is the focus of.

Some claimed the prosecution of Millar was an attempt to “silence women” and was trying to make people afraid to “point out that biology trumps gender beliefs.” One said that they will never give up until “we, and our children, are safe.”

We reported last week on Google’s latest effort to hurt The Gateway Pundit by attacking our advertising revenue. Google, Facebook and Amazon control over 75% of online advertising and frequently target and censor conservative websites.

Over the weekend, Just the News commented on Google’s attack against The Gateway Pundit and others.

In recent days, Twitter permanently banned independent journalist Alex Berenson, Google demonetized The Gateway Pundit from its ad network, and Chase Bank canceled the credit cards of retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

With national attention riveted over the weekend on two major stories — the frantic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan amid its fall to the Taliban and category 4 Hurricane Ida slamming into the Louisiana coast — Big Tech and woke finance dramatically extended the reach of cancel culture with brazen moves to silence and harass three high-profile voices of political and scientific dissent: independent journalist Alex Berenson, popular conservative news and opinion website The Gateway Pundit, and Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

On Saturday, Twitter permanently banned Alex Berenson, who has built a large social media following challenging public health establishment orthodoxy on COVID issues ranging from lockdown to vaccine mandates…

…Meanwhile, on Thursday search and online advertising giant Google took aim at The Gateway Pundit, a conservative online news and opinion site that is ranked in the top 200 of U.S. websites according to Alexa and in the top 50 of English language news websites, according to a study prepared for media industry news site PressGazette.

“Google demonetized the Gateway Pundit from their ad network,” the site’s founder and editor Jim Hoft reported on Saturday.

In explaining its move, Google cited two categories of violations: “Dangerous or derogatory content” and “Misreprentative — Unreliable and harmful claims.”

“The Gateway Pundit has an outstanding record of accurately reporting the top news stories of the day,” Hoft shot back. “Because of our continued success and our honest conservative bent we are regularly censored.”

Loss of revenue from Google Ads can be a severe blow to a digital news site, given the platform’s commanding position within the online advertising marketplace.

“For the record,” wrote Hoft, “the Google advertising platform is one of the largest ad networks on the internet. So now Google is not only censoring and shadowbanning conservatives, they are taking away their ad money.

“Google is truly one of the most dangerous companies in the world today.”

The third victim of the weekend purge was former Trump National Security Adviser and director of the Defense Intelligence Agency during the Obama administration Michael Flynn, who posted to his Telegram account a notice from Chase Bank notifying him of the cancellation his credit cards.

“After careful consideration, we decided to close your credit cards on September 18, 2021 because continuing the relationship creates possible reputational risk to our company,” read the terse update from the Cardmember Services division of Chase, the banking subsidiary of financial services behemoth JPMorgan Chase.

These actions were as un-American enslaving fellow Americans.

Chase Bank does about-face, apologizes for Gen. Flynn credit card cancellation letter, says it 'made an error'

Chase Bank on Tuesday told TheBlaze it has apologized for the credit card cancellation letter that retired Gen. Michael Flynn — former national security adviser under former President Donald Trump — posted on his Telegram social media page Sunday.

Chase's Aug. 20 letter reads, in part, "we decided to close your credit cards on September 18, 2021 because continuing the relationship creates possible reputational risk to our company."

Chase Bank also told TheBlaze that "we made an error" in reference to the cancellation letter.

What's the background?

Flynn on Sunday posted on Telegram the above image of the Chase letter with the addressee text crossed out — as well as a stinging retort directed at the bank:

"Chase Bank has gone full blown woke!" Flynn wrote. "They need to deal with their own reputation instead of persecuting my family and I. [Department of Justice] dropped my case for their own egregious government misconduct, appears you weren't that lucky with the DOJ. I guess my America First political views don't align with yours. Your loss."

Flynn's reference to Chase's "own reputation" presumably is connected with a DOJ press release link he posted next stating that "JPMorgan Chase & Co. Agrees To Pay $920 Million in Connection with Schemes to Defraud Precious Metals and U.S. Treasuries Markets."

On Monday TheBlaze asked Chase to comment on Flynn's implication that the bank canceled his credit cards, and a Chase spokesperson replied, "We are declining to comment." But on Tuesday the bank reversed course and contacted TheBlaze with a statement of apology and admission of error.

'Her'

It's also worth reading the full Tuesday statement to TheBlaze from the Chase spokesperson: "We've contacted our customer to let her know that we made an error and we apologized for any inconvenience this caused."

So if Flynn complained about the credit card cancellation letter, who is the "her" that Chase refers to as the "customer" it contacted with an apology?

Well, Chase would not comment to TheBlaze about that, but there are some clues.

Flynn in his Telegram retort to Chase doesn't say the Chase letter was sent to him personally. He only accuses Chase of "persecuting my family and I."

In addition, the recipient's name and address are blacked out in the image of the letter Flynn posted. All that remains is the surname "Flynn" in the greeting section. But TheBlaze magnified the blacked-out sections and used the iPhone photos app to adjust the contrast and filter out the black — and noticed the letters to the left of "Flynn" don't appear to be part of the names "Mike" or "Michael." However, they may be part of the name "Lori," who is Flynn's wife.

TheBlaze on Tuesday asked Chase if the "her" in its statement refers to Lori Flynn, but the bank has not yet commented on that question.

Pro-military cafe owner tells Biden supporters to take their business elsewhere after US service members are killed in Afghanistan

A restaurant owner in DeBary, Florida, is telling supporters of President Joe Biden to take their business elsewhere following the administration's botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, which has resulted in the deaths of several U.S. service members and has left hundreds of American citizens stranded inside the Taliban-controlled country.

A sign displayed on the restaurant's front door reads: "If you voted for and continue to support and stand behind the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently inhabiting the White House that is complicit in the death of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please take your business elsewhere. God bless America and God bless our soldiers."

DeBary Diner owner Angie Ugarte told WOFL-TV on Monday that she posted the sign the same day that 13 U.S. service members were killed in a terrorist attack at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.

"It was the only thing I felt like I could do," Ugarte said.

"I was just angry. I was just let down. I felt like one of those mothers, or wives, or sisters who were gonna get that knock on the door," she explained.

The local news outlet reported that Ugarte isn't worried about losing more customers; she is worried about losing more lives in Afghanistan.

"If you really, really still stand behind what's allowed this to happen and the way it happened — which was unnecessary — then I really don't want to be associated with you in any way and I certainly don't want your business," said Ugarte, who has been operating the restaurant for about 5 years.

The owner noted that many of her regular customers are U.S. military veterans. Inside the restaurant, Ugarte has an entire wall dedicated to their service.

"Our Local Heroes," reads a placard on the wall. Below it are flags, stars and stripes decor, military insignia, and photos of service members.

Ugarte told WOFL on Monday that her message to Biden supporters has received mixed reviews, but she insisted on keeping it up for now.

"I've had people come to the door and look at it and turn around and walk away. And I've had people come into the kitchen while I'm cooking and say, 'Hey, I love your sign,'" she said.

A Google search of the diner Tuesday afternoon, however, showed that her message was resonating with local residents. Google's wait time forecast indicated the restaurant was much "busier than usual."

State Department Offers Millions for Information on Chinese Fentanyl Trafficker

An award of up to $5 million is being offered by the U.S. State Department for information on a Chinese fentanyl trafficker.

Zhang Jian, 42, a key leader of a transnational criminal organization that manufactured fentanyl and fentanyl analogues from at least four known labs in China, advertised illicit drugs on the Internet to customers in the United States and Canada, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

The drugs are alleged to have caused the overdose deaths of four individuals in North Carolina, New Jersey, North Dakota, and Oregon in 2014 and 2015, according to a 2017 federal indictment (pdf). During the two years, five individuals in North Carolina and Oregon sustained serious bodily injuries.

Zhang’s organization began to operate in about January 2013, prosecutors said. Since that time, it allegedly sent thousands of orders of fentanyl, fentanyl analogues, and other illicit drugs, as well as pill presses, stamps, or dies used to shape drugs into pills. These items were shipped out through the mail or international parcel delivery services.

Zhang, also known as “Hong Kong Zaron,” was indicted with conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and fentanyl analogues and other related counts in 2017. He faced additional charges including international money laundering conspiracy in a 2018 superseding indictment (pdf).

In April 2018, the U.S. Treasury Department froze Zhang’s U.S. assets and sanctioned his biotechnology company Zaron Bio-Tech (Asia) Limited. The company, which was registered in Hong Kong but operated in China, was allegedly used by Zhang to “facilitate the unlawful importation of fentanyl and other controlled substances into the United States.”

Laurene Powell Jobs’ Atlantic Magazine Says ‘Biden Deserves Credit, Not Blame’ for Deadly Afghan Evacuation

Atlantic magazine, owned by billionaire widow of Steve Jobs, Laurene Powell Jobs, published an essay Monday congratulating President Joe Biden for the Afghan evacuation that has thus far left 13 U.S. service members dead and numerous amounts of military gear in the hands of the Taliban terrorists.

“If anything, Americans should feel proud of what the U.S. government and military have accomplished in these past two weeks,” Jobs’ publication claimed. “President Biden deserves credit, not blame.”

Jobs’ magazine praised the deadly evacuation as “one of the most extraordinary logistical feats in their recent history” by pointing to the number of extractions Biden failed to conduct months before the Taliban-enforced deadline of August 31.

“By the time the last American plane lifts off from Hamid Karzai International Airport on August 31, the total number of Americans and Afghan allies extricated from the country may exceed 120,000,” the essay said, referencing the 13 dead U.S. service members that “didn’t deter the military.”

Upon acknowledging the deaths of U.S. service members, the article gave Biden credit for the military’s heroic actions by suggesting Biden was steadfast in his decision making, “And he did so even as his critics again sought to capitalize on tragedy for their own political gain.”

Jobs’ magazine continued to explain why “Americans should feel proud” about Biden’s deadly Afghan evacuation:

The Biden administration nimbly adapted its plans, ramping up the airlift and sending additional troops into the country to aid crisis teams and to enhance security. Around-the-clock flights came into and went out of Afghanistan. Giant cargo planes departed, a number of them packed with as many as 600 occupants.

The State Department tracked down Americans in the country, as well as Afghans who had worked with the U.S., to arrange their passage to the airport. The Special Immigrant Visa program that the Trump administration had slowed down was kicked into high gear.

Despite years of fighting, the administration and the military spoke with the Taliban many times to coordinate passage of those seeking to depart to the airport, to mitigate risks as best as possible, to discuss their shared interest in meeting the August 31 deadline.

The article failed to mention that Biden’s military strategy of negotiating with the Taliban terrorists included giving the group lists of evacuees who were stranded outside the airport while delegating the outer security of the airport to the Taliban even after suicide bombers killed scores of Afghans and Americans.

True the Vote: ‘Ballot Trafficking Will Soon Be Exposed on a Massive Scale’

True the Vote says ballot trafficking was a huge problem in the November 2020 presidential election.

“Ballot trafficking will soon be exposed on a massive scale,” Catherine Engelbrecht, president of True the Vote, said in an email statement sent out by the conservative election integrity organization Saturday.

“In late 2020, True the Vote engaged a select team of contractors and set out to determine whether widespread ballot trafficking was occurring as part of an organized criminal enterprise,” Engelbrecht wrote.

“We’d watched the mass mail out of paper ballots to highly inaccurate voter records, the harried installation of ballot dropboxes privately funded by billionaire tech magnates, and the hundreds of legislative changes, lawsuits, and consent decrees that fundamentally altered election processes,” she continued.

“All of it came together in 2020, under the fog of COVID. It was planned. It was purposeful,” Engelbrecht alleged. (emphasis added)

Conservative election integrity group True The Vote has been conducting a months-long massive and clandestine voter fraud investigation into the 2020 presidential election, the results of which may soon start coming out, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

A document that the group’s founder Catherine Engelbrecht circulated to prospective donors, obtained by Breitbart News, details several facets of the investigation—which centers on what the group describes as the collection of cell phone GPS ping data in key election hotspots around the country including Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

The document says that True The Vote has spent the last several months since late last year collecting more than 27 terabytes of geospatial and temporal data—a total of 10 trillion cell phone pings—between Oct. 1 and Nov. 6 in targeted areas in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The data includes geofenced points of interest like ballot dropbox locations, as well as UPS stores and select government, commercial, and non-governmental organization (NGO) facilities.

“From this we have thus far developed precise patterns of life for 242 suspected ballot traffickers in Georgia and 202 traffickers in Arizona,” True The Vote’s document says. “According to the data, each trafficker went to an average of 23 ballot dropboxes.”

In Saturday’s email, Engelbrecht claimed, “Our findings reveal overwhelming evidence of ballot trafficking, some of which is highlighted in the article. We have much more”:

All our research, including suspected locations where ballots were delivered, processed, and distributed, along with the individual devices associated, has been submitted in the form of a formal complaint, along with all data, to the FBI. Briefings have been provided to state law enforcement and political leadership in several states. These conversations will continue to broaden in the coming days.

We’ve also acquired over a petabyte of video surveillance data. The quality of this video is inferior overall; lighting is bad, cameras are poorly positioned, timestamps are manipulated, key timeframes are often missing. Nevertheless, we are working video by video, using proprietary AI-based code we’ve written to screen the over 100,000 clips in our possession. The result? We are successfully finding video evidence that corroborates the digital data and supports the need for full investigations by law enforcement.

Engelbrecht noted that, “To date, law enforcement has not taken action.”

She noted that one person’s route in Georgia along I-24 over a 24 hour period, “included stops at 5 organizations and 27 individual ballot drop boxes, traveling across 6 counties.”

As Breitbart News reported, absentee ballots were deposited in more than 300 drop boxes across Georgia in November 2020. An estimated 600,000 absentee ballots were placed in those drop boxes, accounting for about 12 percent of the 5 million votes counted in the November 2020 election.

WH’s Sullivan Won’t Rule Out Giving Aid to Taliban — ‘It’s Going to Be Up to Them’

Tuesday, Biden National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan did not rule out providing aid to the Taliban following the United States’ withdrawal out of Afghanistan.

Sullivan told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” that giving aid to the Taliban “will be about whether the terrorist organization follows through on its commitments,” including safe passage for Americans and Afghan allies.

“[F]irst of all, we do believe that there is an important dimension of humanitarian assistance that should go directly to the people of Afghanistan,” Sullivan outlined. “They need help with respect to health and food aid and other forms of subsistence, and we do intend to continue that. Secondly, when it comes to our economic and development assistance relationship with the Taliban, that will be about the Taliban’s actions. It will be about whether they follow through on their commitments, their commitments to safe passage for Americans and Afghan allies, their commitment to not allow Afghanistan to be a base from which terrorists can attack the United States or any other country, their commitments with respect to upholding international obligations. It’s going to be up to them, and we will wait and see by their actions how we end up responding in terms of the economic and developmental assistance relationship.”

Host George Stephanopoulos asked if the assistance would flow through the Taliban.

“It’s not going to flow through the Taliban,” Sullivan replied. “As you know, George, when we send humanitarian assistance to countries, we do so through … international institutions like the World Health Organization or the World Food Program, and we do so through a nongovernmental organization who, George, are still operating on the ground in Afghanistan as we speak. It will not flow through the government.”

German Minister Promises to Take in 70,000 Afghans

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has promised to take in at least 70,000 vulnerable people from Afghanistan, including human rights activists and journalists.

Foreign Minister Maas has announced that 70,000 people would be eligible for aid during a visit to Turkey, saying that Germany would not abandon those who could not make it onto flights at the airport in Kabul.

“We want to continue the aid campaign, but it is now entering a second phase,” Mr Maas said, Der Spiegel reports.

According to the German magazine, around 10,000 Afghan nationals who worked with the German armed forces, the Bundeswehr, are eligible for protection along with 1,600 humanitarian activists and journalists. The remaining people eligible are close family members.

Maas said that Germany is interested in two methods for getting people out of Afghanistan. First, to repair damages at Kabul airport and allow civilian flights to resume. Secondly, negotiate with countries around Afghanistan to allow Germany to fly vulnerable people from countries like Uzbekistan or Pakistan.

Over the course of the evacuation operations from Kabul, the German Luftwaffe were able to evacuate around 5,000 people.

Some, however, have criticised the fact that at least one flight left Kabul virtually empty. An A-400M transport, which can seat up to 200 people, left Kabul with just seven people aboard earlier this month.

The German government confirmed that number, arguing that the aircraft was forced to take off due to security concerns.

“Due to the chaotic circumstances at the airport and regular exchanges of fire at the access point, there was no guarantee last night that further German nationals and other persons to be evacuated would even have access to the airport without the protection of the Bundeswehr [German armed forces],” the German Foreign Office said.

Just days after the nearly empty flight, a German national was shot at the Kabul airport, suffering a non-life-threatening injury.

Biden Admin Releases 18K Unaccompanied Migrant Children into U.S. in August

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released more than 18,000 unaccompanied migrant children to sponsors within the United States in August 2021. Another 16,000 are still federally detained and await similar releases.

During the month of August, HHS released an average of 605 unaccompanied migrant children to sponsors, against another 518 apprehended near border crossing points daily—creating little better than a wash on rolling detention totals.

According to HHS, the numbers do not include children from Mexico. In most cases, those children are immediately returned.

According to a source within CBP, many children, mostly teens, are sent into the United States by parents or other relatives to avoid expulsion under the Trump era CDC COVID-19 emergency order. Once the minor is in HHS care, the relative will enter the United States illegally and claim the child to begin the family re-unification process.

The number of unaccompanied migrant children who entered the United States illegally this fiscal year is staggering. According to CBP, 113,791, were apprehended between October and July. This is a nearly 250 percent increase over 2020 totals.

Health and Human Services opened more than a dozen emergency intake sites to deal with the influx of children. These facilities make use of vacant oilfield man camps and COVID-shuttered convention centers.

Unlicensed facilities have faced criticism due to insufficient staffing, drinking water issues, and COVID-19 protections. Earlier this year, Texas Governor Greg Abbott sharply criticized the Biden Administration over conditions at multiple HHS detention facilities, specifically citing a water issue in Midland plus a COVID-19 outbreak in Carrizo Springs.

HHS estimates the cost to detain a child is $775 per day. In other long-term facilities, they indicate that cost to be approximately $275 per day. Based on these estimates and the number of UACs currently in custody, the cost to the American taxpayer stands at more than $6 million daily.

‘Pledge Allegiance To The Queers’ Teacher Faces Official Investigation After Viral TikTok Video

A California teacher faces an official investigation after videos surfaced of her detailing the removal of the American flag from her classroom. In one video, she said that she told a student that he could pledge allegiance to a gay pride flag instead.

The teacher, identified as Kristen Pitzen by Fox News, teaches in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District, in Orange County, California. She described her approach to the Pledge of Allegiance during her class in a now-viral TikTok video.

In the video, she says that she lets students make up their own minds about whether they want to stand or recite the pledge.

“So, my class decided to stand but not say the words. Totally fine. Except for the fact that my room does not have a flag. It used to be there,” she said pointing to the classroom wall. “But I took it down during Covid because it made me uncomfortable. I packed it away, and I don’t know where. I haven’t found it yet.”

Apparently, one day, a student told her that it was strange the class just stood and had no flag to look to during the pledge. Laughing, Pitzen said she told him that she was “working on it”.

“In the meantime, I tell this kid, we do have a flag in the class that you can ‘pledge your allegiance to,” Pitzen said pointing to the pride flag displayed on the wall. In an earlier video, she gave a tour of her classroom showing the different rainbow flags she had put up for Pride Month, saying at one point, “I pledge allegiance to the queers.”

On Saturday, the New-Mesa Unified School District announced on Facebook that it was looking into the videos.

“On Friday evening, one of our teachers created a personal social media post that caused alarm and concern related to saluting the American flag. Showing respect for our nation’s flag is an important value our District instills in our students and is an expectation of our employees,” the school district posted. “We take this matter seriously and are investigating and addressing it.”

A spokeswoman for the school district told the New York Post that they were “taking action to address it.” The videos have since disappeared off of Pitzen’s TikTok account.

In response to the video, Richard Grenell, a former Acting Director of National Intelligence during the Trump administration, tweeted out, “What kind of parent would allow their child to be taught by this wacko? Why are parents turning their kids over to someone they don’t know? I’d like to talk to people who think this is good?!?”

In recent years, the Pledge of Allegiance has become a contentious political issue with many in the sports world refusing to stand for the anthem during sporting events. Many NFL and NBA athletes have all chosen to protest the playing of the anthem. The debate is also vigorous in state education.

The furious phone call Iowa State Representative Carter Nordam (R-IA) got for adding an amendment to a bill requiring K-12 schools to lead their students in the pledge every day.

How planning ahead and preparing for what lies ahead is a lesson everyone needs to learn

Over the last couple of months, it has become clear from conversations with friends and partners from the gold industry that there is a marked increase in retail demand for physical gold from Swiss investors. The most interesting thing about this development is that the bulk of new orders is coming from smaller accounts, showing that it’s ordinary savers and citizens that are driving this trend, rather than professionals, speculators or larger investors.

The Swiss mentality

Given all that we have seen since the pandemic began, all the government excesses and all the economic devastation on a global scale, it is not at all surprising that the average Swiss citizen would turn to physical precious metals to prepare for what lies ahead and to protect their wealth. The main idea behind this is the concept of personal responsibility, independent thought and action and self-sustainability. In other words, it is essential to think for oneself and to plan for the future, regardless of what the majority may think at the time or what any centralized authority might promise. We’ve been seeing this in full swing throughout the covid crisis. The Swiss government, much like all governments everywhere, has repeatedly sought to reassure the public, claiming all the restrictions and the measures taken were in the people’s best interest and for their own good, while officials have also tried to assuage the very legitimate concerns over the economy, by insisting that everything is under control and that the recovery has already started.

As opposed to so many of their Western peers, the Swiss tend to look at all these promises and assurances with a very healthy dose of skepticism. They understand well the need to hedge their bets and to take their own measures to protect themselves, their families and their savings. No matter how confident the central planners may sound, direct, personal action and planning ahead is clearly a much more viable strategy than simply trusting the government blindly, waiting and hoping for the best.

Direct democracy: a decisive advantage

Of course, the Swiss also have a unique and invaluable tool at their disposal with which they can carve out their own fates and retain control over their lives and their future, that other Western citizens do not. The Swiss system of subsidiarity and the frequent referendums that take place in the country ensure that the state’s powers remain in check and that the people ultimately have the last word on any and all-important issues.

General Flynn is a three-star general. Few make it to this rank. He was Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. General Flynn should reply to Chase by saying that he is much relieved to no longer be associated with a collection of gangsters who recently had to pay a $920,000,000 fine for manipulating the precious metals and US Treasury markets.
