Dear Tiger Parents, Caregivers, and Students,
It is with honor and great pride that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Inderkum High School. I am truly honored to be selected to lead this great school that promotes a rigorous academic setting, character development, and students who will be global citizens that will help create a better and more peaceful world! I have served in education for approximately 15 years, in various capacities, and I have a heart to serve the learning community!
I hope that you have had a restful summer and are ready, as we are, to have an excellent 2021-2022 school year! It is hard to believe but the first day of school is approaching–Thursday, August 12! We are looking forward to continuing our collaboration with you in developing graduates that are college and career ready, productive, responsible and engaged citizens.
I am committed to creating a safe, positive, and premier learning environmentthat encourages students to dream, plan, and achieve their goals! The responsibility of a principal is something that I embrace. I will continue the traditions of the school while remaining open to a growth mindset and continuous learning. Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the established legacy of success at Inderkum by building positive relationships with all stakeholders which includes parents, caregivers, students, and community partners.
This upcoming school year is going to be unique as we restart after enduring some very challenging circumstances in education! I will work with our dedicated staff to ensure academic experiences for our students are relevant, rigorous, and essential. Together we will ensure that your student develops their academic and interpersonal skills that are important to achieve their potential! I fully recognize that this is noble work. In collaboration, we can support our students to make a positive impact in our local and global community.
I desire that everyone who steps through our doors–teachers, staff, students, parents, caregivers, and visitors-are excited to be here! Let’s make this a great year!
Dream and Achieve,
Grace Strickland
