thanks for the ref, anon. i am actually generally anti-vax. but nothing is black and white. often the problem, especially nowadays, is the rush to vax immediately after birth. this could play a huge role in the incidence of infant mortality, because newborns do NOT have a functioning immune system (otherwise they would reject the mother while still in utero). vaccination before the age of 6 months does not even make medical sense, since without a functioning immune system, the vax cannot provoke an immune response, and is therefore pointless.
