I did that and the day after my Linux install of 1 month being fine bit the big one and my other other boot drive with Windows. I had to reinstall everything. I got the windows installed back and will be working on the Linux. i ain't touching that IP shit again. And don't tell me it was as coincidence.

Not my intention but I'm just pissed off.

There's no other explanation for it that I can think of. Everything was working great for a month before putting those IPs in. There's no malware, no viruses on either drive and I low level formatted both drives just to make sure before installing everything previously. And have done so again before reinstalling everything. My usual steps when installing OSes on used drives.

I was on the site when it happened too. Posting as usual on the Linux boot when Linux started giving me space not available warnings. I looked to see what was up and on my 1 TB drive with Linux installed 0 free bytes left. I had about 800 something gigs left for 4 weeks. Until the day after the IP entries. WTF. Still, being able to see images is not worth the risk again for me. Though I could probably make recovery disks and try the IP thing again but I dunno if it's worth the hassle.

I also don't have the boot drives connected at the same time. so I know it wasn't Windows fucking around with the dual boot sectors of the drives. Both drives are the same model and size 1tb.

Anyway, don't let me stop anyone else who wants to the do IP fix. I just can't trust it now.
