Washington, DC — In a new poll released on Wednesday, over half of Americans believe that President Joe Biden should resign over his handling of Afghanistan. The poll was released by Rasmussen and found 52% of likely American voters believe the President should step down over his failures.
Only 39% disagreed that Biden should not resign. The survey was conducted Monday and Tuesday of 1,000 voters with a +/- 3% margin of error. But that’s not all the bad news for Biden.

Rasmussen is also reporting that Biden has his lowest approval rating ever since taking office. His approval rating sits at 42% and his rolling average is the lowest recorded of his presidency.
Rasmussen Reports on Twitter: “Reader Alert: Last night we recorded a new low single-overnight approval result in President Biden’s job approval history and today he will set a record low in our 3-day rolling approval avg. Rasmussen also reports that 47% of Americans strongly disapprove of the job that Biden is doing as President. It continues to tell the story that Americans are waking up to the miserable job that Biden is doing as leader.
Biden has been under scrutiny for how he handled the Afghanistan withdrawal, which left the US scrambling to try and evacuate thousands of Americans and Afghans. Biden set a goal to evacuate them all by August 31, but failed to reach that goal as many were left behind.
Over 100 Afghans and 13 US military members were killed after attacks in Afghanistan during the evacuation. The process was marred by threats against the Kabul airport and the US even launched air strikes against suspected terrorists. Those strikes have been met with scrutiny as well.
