The ancient religions followed the stars. Think of it as Astro-Theology. That changed with the introduction of the 'modern' religions. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Although, all of those actually worship the stars if you dig deep enough. It's just hidden in the symbolism.

I'll relate a local happening. The gas company was working on a line and must have knicked it without noticing because they covered it all up and went home. Two days later the historical building across the street literally blew up. They tracked it back to the leaky gas line.
Stayed with the historical society. They are trying to repair it.
