I've been running with DNS overridden as a way to preemptively avoid DNS poisoning attacks for a couple of years now. I updated it periodically by checking various DNS servers.
I'm out now. Looks like the pathway to the media server is being forcibly blocked through alternate means now.

Given the overall context of the situation, I'm leaning toward this being a good-guy move to avoid dissemination of visuals the bad guys planned to spam this place with. Could have something to do with the recent law the Aussies passed that gives law enforcement access to online information. Could have been a loophole for mass arrests of those monitoring this channel.

The rate of pedo arrests has actually been sky high since Trump took office. I think it has been around 5x normal, IIRC. It has been accelerating recently as well. Also, the social status of the perps is also climbing the social ladder.

I'm guessing that law in Australia might have given the corrupt Australian courts a way to immediately pin people with CP (or similar) just by having the thumbnails in their image caches. So they spam the board, grab the IPs, break down doors, confiscate computers and lock innocent guy up for years. Or something.
