aircraft have extensive electronic control systems, in some aircraft it's fly by wire which means it's all electronic, there is no mechanical linkage to the control surfaces.

 

For automobiles I believe it would be fairly simple to re-program the onboard computer that controls the car (brain box) but it would require a few moments access to the diagnostic port (OBD-II). This re-programming could be set to activate by a timer / milage traveled etc… or along with a small device would allow remote triggering of…
