House Freedom Caucus – “This Administration’s Incapacity Is A National Security Threat. It’s Time To DRAIN THE SWAMP”

The House Freedom Caucus is demanding accountability after the disaster that the Biden Regime caused in Afghanistan, resulting in the death of 13 U.S. troops.

Joe Biden was given the opportunity to secure Kabul Airport but he turned it down, trusting terrorists to safely evacuate Americans. Biden let a suicide bomber kill 13 American troops last Thursday.

before this attack happened, Joe Biden abandoned Americans and American military equipment in Afghanistan and the hands of the Taliban.

This regime is the greatest threat to our national security. Members of The House Freedom Caucus have seen enough and they released an amazing video, calling on the impeachment of Secretary Blinken and the resignation of Joe Biden, Lloyd Austin, and Mark Milley, who all oversaw this catastrophic loss.

All: The House Freedom Caucus is demanding accountability and Speaker Pelosi needs to call Congress back into session. While overseeing that withdrawal from Afghanistan, Secretary Blinken failed to protect American citizens, our troops, and our allies. However, he succeeded in handing over military equipment to terrorists, while taking orders from the Taliban. This incompetence led to the death of eleven Marines, one Navy hospital corpsman and one army soldier, making it the deadliest day in a decade.

Secretary Blinken must be impeached. We can not stop there. This administration’s incapacity is a national security threat. The House Freedom Caucus is calling on the resignation of President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and General Mark Milley. The house should return to session to hold these men accountable. This administration’s weakness is the Taliban’s strength. It’s time to drain the Swamp.

Congressman Bob Good, a member of The House Freedom Caucus and a guest star in the video said,

President Biden must resign. This administration has weakened America and strengthened the Taliban.

Nancy Pelosi needs to call the house back into session immediately.

COVID INFECTIONS RISE: Hundreds defy lockdown as cases surge in Victoria

Hundreds of people packed Melbourne’s beaches on Thursday, with many seen defying lockdown restrictions despite the state recording it’s worst day of the outbreak so far.

The warm weather saw crowds descend on Elwood Beach, with groups seen drinking alcohol on the sand and dancing as they played music through portable speakers, The Herald Sun reports.

Many of the beachgoers were also seen not wearing masks as they relaxed on the sand, while others were seen having picnics at the nearby park.

Pelosi announces vote on bill to codify Roe v. Wade

Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Thursday the House will vote on legislation to codify Roe v. Wade in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to deny an emergency appeal filed by abortion providers to block the Texas heartbeat bill.

Pelosi blasted the 5-4 ruling made Wednesday evening to uphold Texas’ new policy to ban the procedure after six weeks and allow for individuals to file civil suits against abortion providers or those who help facilitate abortions.

“The Supreme Court’s cowardly, dark-of-night decision to uphold a flagrantly unconstitutional assault on women’s rights and health is staggering. That this radically partisan Court chose to do so without a full briefing, oral arguments or providing a full, signed opinion is shameful,” she said in a statement.

“SB8 delivers catastrophe to women in Texas, particularly women of color and women from low-income communities. Every woman, everywhere has the constitutional right to basic health care. SB8 is the most extreme, dangerous abortion ban in half a century, and its purpose is to destroy Roe v. Wade and even refuses to make exceptions for cases of rape and incest. This ban necessitates codifying Roe v. Wade.”

The California Democrat said the lower chamber will take up The Women’s Health Protection Act — spearheaded by Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.) — which would bar restrictions to abortions including “mandatory waiting periods, biased counseling, two-trip requirements, and mandatory ultrasounds.”

“Upon our return, the House will bring up Congresswoman Judy Chu’s Women’s Health Protection Act to enshrine into law reproductive health care for all women across America,” Pelosi continued.

“SB8 unleashes one of the most disturbing, unprecedented and far-reaching assaults on health care providers – and on anyone who helps a woman, in any way, access an abortion – by creating a vigilante bounty system that will have a chilling effect on the provision of any reproductive health care services.”

“This provision is a cynical, backdoor attempt by partisan lawmakers to evade the Constitution and the law to destroy not only a woman’s right to health care but potentially any right or protection that partisan lawmakers target. When the Supreme Court takes up its reproductive rights case this year, we urge it to uphold, as Justice Sotomayor wrote in her dissent, ‘its constitutional obligations to protect not only the rights of women, but also the sanctity of its precedents and of the rule of law,’” Pelosi said.

The House is scheduled to come back into session on Sept. 20.

While the bill is likely to pass the lower chamber, it faces a narrow path in the Senate, which requires a 60 vote threshold for passage.

MSNBC's Joy Reid calls on Democrats to 'wage war' on Dem Senators Manchin and Sinema

MSNBC anchor Joy Reid led an online mob calling for Democrats to "wage war" on their own members — Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) — of the U.S. Senate over their party's policy failures.

"At this point, Manchin and Sinema have essentially declared war on President Biden and their own party's agenda. The only question left is whether war will be waged in return," tweeted Reid.

Reid was upset over Sen. Manchin, calling on Democrats to cut their plan to pass a $3.5 trillion spending bill focusing on expanding Medicare and extending the child tax credit passed as pandemic relief.

Manchin voiced his opposition to the bill in an opinion article Thursday in the Wall Street Journal.

"I, for one, won't support a $3.5 trillion bill, or anywhere near that level of additional spending, without greater clarity about why Congress chooses to ignore the serious effects inflation and debt have on existing government programs," Manchin said.

Liberals lashed out at Manchin and Sinema who has also refused to support far-left proposals by Democratic leadership.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) accused Manchin of killing her constituents in New York.

"Manchin has weekly huddles w/ Exxon & is one of many senators who gives lobbyists their pen to write so-called 'bipartisan' fossil fuel bills. It's killing people. Our people. At least 12 last night. Sick of this 'bipartisan' corruption that masquerades as clear-eyed moderation," tweeted Ocasio-Cortez.

"All day our community has been pulling bodies out of homes from the flood. Entire families. And we're supposed to entertain lobbyist talking points about why we should abandon people & do nothing? No," she added in a second tweet.

"Manchin and other millionaire Senators will be fine, but the rest of America will suffer," tweeted columnist Wajahat Ali.

"This Isn't What We Were Promised" - Critics Slam $10BN Purdue Pharma Opioid Settlement For Letting Sacklers 'Off The Hook'

A federal bankruptcy judge has signed off on a settlement between OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma and thousands of creditors and litigants participating in a mountain of lawsuits filed against the company over its role in developing and marketing OcyContin in ways that plaintiffs say violated laws and knowingly exposed millions to an extremely addictive substance.

Under the settlement reached with creditors, including individual victims and thousands of state and local governments, the Sackler family will give up ownership of the company and contribute $4.5 billion, some of which will be used for a victims' compensation fund. In exchange, members of the family will be freed from liability for any future opioid-related lawsuits, allowing them to retain much of their family fortune, even if their cash cow is now no longer under their control. In total, Purdue values the plan at $10 billion.

The new company will be reorganized under a board chosen by public officials. Profits will go to government efforts to prevent and treat opioid addiction.

Judge Drain said Wednesday after speaking from the bench for more than six hours that he would approve the plan as long as two technical changes were made. Once made, he plans to enter the final order on Thursday.

Opioids have killed roughly half a million Americans over the last decade, according to CDC data.

One party to the settlement said the deal "isn't what we were promised."

"It isn’t what we were promised or what we were hoping for,” said Ryan Hampton, an author and activist who had represented victims during the bankruptcy. Hampton resigned from his post on the victims committee the day before the judge’s decision, in part because he believed the compensation for victims was inadequate, especially compared with the proportion of the fund set aside for the cities, counties, states and other public entities suing Purdue.

CCP Cracks Down On "Incorrect Politics" & "Effeminate Men" In Show Business

The CCP's push to reshape China's economy and society has moved from a crackdown on its biggest technology companies, to imposing the most restrictive rules in the world surrounding minors access to video games, while reshaping industries from the private education space to ride-sharing to - its latest focus - entertainment.

After Beijing purged one of China's most popular actresses (she was edited out of movies and TV shows) from its Internet in a manner that some likened to being "wiped from history", it's continuing with its crackdown on the entertainment industry, declaring Thursday that broadcasters must shun artists with "incorrect political positions" or "effeminate styles", according to Reuters.

Here's more on the crackdown, which is being led by two government regulators, from Reuters:

Two government ministries, including the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA), and an industry association published fresh guidelines on Thursday,

The NRTA, a ministry level body, said it will strengthen regulation of stars' salaries and punish tax evaders. It also said it would weed out any content in cultural programmes that it deems to be unhealthy.

Last week, China's internet regulator said it was taking action against what it described as a "chaotic" celebrity fan culture.

The selection of actors and guests should be carefully controlled, with political literacy and moral conduct included as criteria, NRTA said, adding that performers should be encouraged to participate in public welfare programmes and assume social responsibilities.

The notice further said that programmes portraying "effeminate" behaviour and other content deemed "warped" should be stopped, along with shows built around scandals, ostentatious wealth and "vulgar" internet celebrities.

Unhealthy fan culture should be deterred and strict controls placed on programmes with voting segments, and any that encourage fans to spend money to vote should be forbidden, the notice added.

Regulators also issued new guidelines for film and TV calling for directors to avoid using male actors who wear makeup, claiming it makes them look "effeminate" and undermined the credibility of the Chinese military.

Separate notices also published on Thursday by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the China Association of Performing Arts said that performers, like livestreaming stars, should undergo periodic training on professional ethics while agencies should terminate contracts with performers who "lack moral discipline."

Besides criticising the culture of celebrity worship, authorities and state media have criticised male stars who favour heavy make-up andcarefully styled hair and project a feminine image, saying Chinese boys should become more manly.

Some "effeminate" stars are immoral and can damage adolescents' values, according to an opinion piece in the state-run Guangming Daily on Aug. 27, written by a former official at a military newspaper.

When such stars act as soldiers fighting in the war against the Japanese - a popular setting for Chinese movies and TV shows - they also make the "righteous" and "heroic" characters appear childish, said the piece.

One popular video-maker on Douyin, a short video platform, had his account suspended in late August after complaints that he was too "effeminate".

Moving on: After paying a nearly $3 billion fine earlier this year, Alibaba announced on Thursday that it would commit 100 billion yuan ($15.5 billion) over five years toward Xi Jinping’s "common prosperity" vision, the latest sign that the CCP is depending on Big Tech companies to bankroll its new vision for lifting hundreds of millions more Chinese out of poverty. According to Bloomberg, Alibaba will spread the money between 10 initiatives encompassing technology investment and support for small companies, the government-backed Zhejiang Daily reported Thursday. Tencent, which said last month that it would double the amount of money it’s allocating for social responsibility programs to about $15 billion.

Democrats Rush to Consolidate $3.5 Trillion ‘Megabill’ as Corporate Lobbyists Rally Against It

Senate Democrats and US President Joe Biden have come under increasing pressure to abolish the filibuster, a rule allowing senators to hold up legislation by talking nonstop on the floor, because of the de facto requirement for a 60-person majority to pass bills. So far, he’s said he prefers bipartisanship, even as it imperils his economic agenda.

Congressional Democrats are rushing to agree on the contents of a massive spending bill they are attempting to pass through unorthodox means before their self-imposed deadline later this month. Meanwhile, corporate lobbyists representing the country’s biggest companies are organizing their counteroffensive.

Congress may be on a seven-week recess, but Democratic Party leaders are still hard at work trying to sort out which programs their $3.5 trillion spending package will include. The party controls both houses of Congress, but between a wavering centrist faction of the party and the threat of a Republican filibuster blocking progress through the Senate, Democrats have been wont to force through anything remotely controversial.

That’s why this massive agglomeration of programs, which could potentially include Medicare expansion, an extension of the child tax credit, incentives for clean energy investments, and tax increases on corporations’ foreign profits, are heaped into a single spending bill: the Democrats intend to force it through under budget reconciliation, which allows them to fast-track it protects it from a Republican filibuster.

However, even that strategy requires all 50 Democratic senators to vote as a bloc, and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) has said her mind is firmly set against the bill. House lawmakers have attempted to pressure her to fall in line by holding up the infrastructure bill favored by her.

Their go-it-alone strategy narrowly succeeded last week when the House passed a framework for the bill in a close party-line vote of 220-212. However, just nine centrist Democrats were able to gum up the works - an enduring problem when it comes to figuring out what to actually put in the bill.

According to Politico, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has directed the heads of relevant House committees to resolve all major disputes about content with their Senate counterparts before the week is out.

Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) told Politico on Thursday that Pelosi was so “anxious” to get the bill passed she was yielding control to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

“The fact that we did a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill with essentially very little input from the House - it was an institutional surrender to the Senate," he said of the parallel bill that has worked its way through the Senate for months.

The Senate finally passed that bill in mid-August. Progressive House Democrats have promised they’ll only support the $3.5 trillion bill if it’s voted on at the same time as the infrastructure bill, which is scheduled for September 27 - one week after lawmakers return to Washington.

Meanwhile, another force is seeking to undermine the entire bill: corporate lobbyists.

According to a report by the Washington Post, the sweeping progressive measures in the $3.5 trillion bill have aroused the fury of a host of American industrial giants, including the US Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Manufacturers, PhRMA, and the Business Roundtable.

In addition to “traditional lobbying,” the report says the trade groups are rolling out what Business Roundtable told the paper would be “a significant, multifaceted campaign” to stop tax hikes and would “continue to ramp up our efforts in the coming weeks.”

QAnon Shaman, in Jail Since January 9, Agrees to Plea Deal

Jacob Chansley, the horned “insurrectionist” known as the “QAnon Shaman”—and arguably the face of the January 6 protest—has accepted a plea deal for walking his actions at the Capitol. Funny, what a person will agree to when he’s kept in jail for eight months.

Chansley, dressed in a wrap he apparently borrowed from Fred Flintstone—and heavily armed with a bullhorn—was seen in numerous videos in the Capitol NOT fighting with cops. The terms of his plea deal haven’t been released yet, nor has his sentence. Chansley has been in jail since January 9.

FACT-O-RAMA! The Department of Justice (DOJ) has admitted to possessing pictures of Capitol Police fist-bumping Trumpsters in the Capitol and posing for pictures with them as well.

The feds indicted Chansley on six counts, including obstruction of an official proceeding, civil disorder, entering a restricted building, violent entry, disorderly conduct in a restricted building, and picketing inside the Capitol building.

Chansley’s lawyer, Albert Watkins, argues that Chansley suffers from mental issues. He further states that Chansley went into the Capitol without a plan. He also pointed out that his client has no record of violent offenses. The Washington Post reported:

The judge pointed to videos, photos, social media posts and police interviews that authorities said showed Chansley leading the breach of the U.S. Capitol while holding a six-foot pole topped with a spear tip. Prosecutors added that Chansley forced his way into the Senate chamber, where he sat in the presiding officer’s chair and left Pence a note declaring, “ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME JUSTICE IS COMING!”

In social media posts before the riot, Chansley also advocated for “identifying and then hanging those he believes to be traitors within the United States government,” according to court documents. FBI agents say that in interviews with them, Chansley said he had plans to go to the Arizona Capitol and that he might engage in similar acts in the future.

The FBI has arrested roughly 565 people for their actions on January 6, resulting in almost three dozen plea deals thus far, most of them for misdemeanors.

As Afghan war ends, House approves $24bn bump for Pentagon budget

Just after the US military’s wasteful Afghanistan mission came to a close, House legislators marked almost $24 billion in extra defense spending supposedly needed to maintain America’s competitive edge against Russia and China.

The House Armed Services Committee held a marathon session on Wednesday to markup the spending under the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Lawmakers from both parties joined forces to defy President Joe Biden’s intention to keep the Pentagon budget at $715 billion for next year, essentially keeping it at the same level as last year. Instead, an extra $23.9 billion was set to be poured into weapons procurement, research and other areas.

The financial boost was proposed by Rep. Mike Rogers of Alabama, the ranking Republican member on the committee, who welcomed the passage of his proposal as a snub to Biden from his own party.

“The bipartisan adoption of my amendment sends a clear signal: the president’s budget submission was wholly inadequate to keep pace with a rising China and a re-emerging Russia,” he said.

“I hope this bipartisan, and now bicameral, move is understood by the Biden-Harris administration,” the Republican lawmaker added, referring to last month’s approval of a similar increase in defense spending by the Senate Armed Services Committee.

The increase of topline spending to $740 billion was passed against the objections of Armed Services Committee Chair Adam Smith of Washington. The Democrat argued that the extra money would disincentivize the Pentagon from curbing wastefulness.

The DoD needs to “do a better job of acquisition and procurement, do a better job of anticipating what the threats are now versus what they were 30 years ago,” he said.

If we give them another $23.9 billion, it takes the pressure off. It makes it easier for them to just keep doing what they’ve been doing.

Fourteen Democrats broke party ranks to vote with the GOP on Rogers’ amendment, securing passage 42-17. The cross-aisle supporters represent districts relying on military spending or have served in the military themselves. Provided the House and Senate Appropriations panels sign off on the budget increase, the additional funding will go primarily into shipbuilding, research and military construction.

The House markup session took place just after the US Afghanistan mission was formally ended this week. The pullout left over $6 billion in unspent funds in Pentagon coffers, which were allocated previously for the now-disbanded Afghan Security Forces. Those included some $600 million left unspent since FY2020, $2.3 billion from the current year and $3.3 billion requested for FY2022 and approved in June.
