China Warns US "Wrongdoings" Will Imperil Climate Cooperation

Despite the US long wanting 'climate diplomacy' to remain a separate issue apart from its wider disputes with China, such as on trade and human rights, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is now warning deteriorating ties threaten joint efforts to tackle global warming and climate change.

Wang informed Biden's US climate envoy John Kerry during the latter's visit to the Chinese city of Tianjin on Thursday that "climate cooperation cannot be separated from the wider environment" of US-China relations.

The Chinese top diplomat likened the potential for close US-China cooperation on climate to an "oasis" and explained, "But surrounding the oasis is a desert, and the oasis could be desertified very soon."

That's when he concluded while speaking by video-link: "China-U.S. climate co-operation cannot be separated from the wider environment of China-U.S. relations."

"Everyone who met with you will have to spend two weeks in quarantine, but we're willing to pay that price, to discuss co-operation with the U.S. on affairs of mutual concerns," he was quoted further as saying.

It's widely perceived that if one side or the other links climate with the broader tensions besetting US-China relations, it would greatly slow any substantive climate action.

According to Reuters:

Though Wang warned that climate change could now be tied to other diplomatic issues, China has said its efforts to cut emissions and adopt cleaner forms of energy are vital to its ambitious domestic agenda.

"Chinese leaders have long said they are engaged in climate action not because of outside pressure, but because it benefits China and the world at large," said Alex Wang, a climate expert and professor at UCLA.

And additionally Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission called on the US to "correct its wrongdoings" and make efforts to "bring bilateral ties back on the right track."

On the US side, Kerry urged China to do more while also vowing willingness to improve communication with China.

"Secretary Kerry affirmed that the United States remains committed to co-operating with the world to tackle the climate crisis, which must be addressed with the seriousness and urgency that it demands, and encouraged the PRC to take additional steps to reduce emissions," a State Department spokesperson said in a statement.

Fauci: 'Mu' COVID variant not an 'immediate threat' to Americans

'We’re keeping a very close eye on it,' Fauci said of the new variant

Earlier this week, mu, known by scientists as B.1.621, was added to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) "of interest" list of variants. The variant was first identified in Colombia and has been confirmed in at least 39 countries, according to the WHO.

"This variant has a constellation of mutations that suggests that it would evade certain antibodies, not only monoclonal antibodies, but vaccine- and convalescent serum-induced antibodies," Fauci said. "But there isn’t a lot of clinical data to suggest that, it is mostly laboratory in-vitro data."

"Remember, even when you have variants that do diminish somewhat the efficacy of vaccines, the vaccines still are quite effective against variants of that time," Fauci added in conclusion, telling Americans that health officials are "keeping a very close eye" on what happens with Mu.

Fauci also said during the briefing that he "would not at all be surprised if" three doses are required for Americans to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

"I must say from my own experience as an immunologist, I would not at all be surprised that the adequate full regimen for vaccination will likely be three doses," Fauci said, saying that he believes three doses will be in order to increase immune support against the coronavirus.

"If it is durable, then you're going to have very likely a three-dose regimen being the routine regimen," Fauci said, saying he would leave it up to other officials to determine how many doses of the vaccine should be taken.

Thousands of St George customers see their money vanish in a flash

Thousands of St George bank customers have been impacted by a system failure which saw money disappear from peoples accounts.

Now some customers have spoken out in the hopes of getting answers.

"It may not mean much to them, but it's our livelihoods," Kevin Milner told A Current Affair.

Mr Milner said his money vanished in a flash when pending payments were taken out twice.

Within 24 hours, the money was returned but by the next day even more money disappeared.

"The balance was at zero and it was overdrawn," he said.

"Now our account's sitting at negative $383 … you want to have confidence in any institution you have looking after your money and St George … they've lost this," Mr Milner said.

Nikki Le Sato is another loyal customer who has been with St George for years.

"I'm missing a total of $570-something dollars … and this morning I woke up and there was $70-something dollars returned," she said.

Australia Could Force Citizens To Report Their Location On-Demand Via Government Tracking App

The government of South Australia is running a trial for a system that could eventually force citizens to take a photo of themselves via a government app to report their location on demand within 15 minutes of authorities requesting it, or face a police investigation.

Yes, really.

The revelation was highlighted in an Atlantic piece by Conor Friedersdorf which questions whether Australia can still call itself a liberal democracy in light of the crippling restrictions it has placed on its own population.

With no end in sight for the lifting of the country’s brutal lockdown, Aussies could face even more invasive state intrusion into their private lives under the justification of stopping the spread of the virus.

The South Australian government is preparing to roll out an app that “will contact people at random asking them to provide proof of their location within 15 minutes,” according to reports.

If people refuse to report their location or are unable to do so, police are then dispatched to hunt them down.

“We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes,” said Premier Steven Marshall.

This is barely much different from literally fitting people with electronic ankle bracelets that track their every movement like prisoners under home arrest, a policy that was actually considered by Australian authorities earlier this year.

CDC: Unvaccinated Should Not Travel Over Labor Day Weekend

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended against unvaccinated Americans traveling this Labor Day Weekend.

On Tuesday, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky advocated against unvaccinated individuals traveling over Labor Day Weekend during a White House Briefing. “First and foremost, if you are unvaccinated, we would recommend not traveling.”

To those who have not been fully vaccinated and still seek to enjoy the long weekend regardless of CDC recommendations, Walensky has suggested a number of precautions. For one, would-be travelers are encouraged to undergo a coronavirus test 1 to 3 days prior to any excursions. For those traveling, masks are highly recommended, along with self-monitoring and other measures such as social distancing.

Upon returning from any Labor Day getaways, unvaccinated Americans have been recommended to self-isolate for 3 to 5 days if they are undergoing testing. Those who do not get tested upon their return home are advised to self-isolate for an entire week before interacting with the public again.

While Walensky aimed to discourage the freedoms of unvaccinated Americans in favor of community health during her briefing, she also made recommendations for the vaccinated crowd. The CDC Director granted permission to those who received the jab to travel, so long as they wear masks and take appropriate precautions:

People who are fully vaccinated, and who are wearing masks, can travel. Although given where we are with disease transmission right now, we would say that people need to take these risks into their own consideration as they think about travelling.

In addition to mask-wearing, Walensky also outlined guidelines for vaccinated individuals who may attend upcoming gatherings. When gathering indoors in a public forum, both vaccinated and unvaccinated are advised to wear a mask, and, “if gathering with family or friends, spending time outside with others who are vaccinated will help to prevent transmission.”

The CDC Director would go on to encourage vaccinated Americans to persuade any unvaccinated family and friends to get one of the shots over the three-day weekend. “Talk with family and friends about the benefits of the vaccine, and consider taking them to get vaccinated over the long holiday weekend,” Walensky said.

White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Jeff Zients also spoke during the briefing and cited the importance of being vaccinated in order to partake in any labor day activities. “As people across the country prepare for Labor Day Weekend, it’s critical that being vaccinated is part of their pre-holiday checklist.”

According to statistics gathered by the Center for Disease Control, 52.7% of Americans are fully vaccinated, while 38% of Americans have elected to not receive a single dose. The restrictions advised for this Labor Day Weekend may be a harbinger of restrictions and mandates to come, while worrying mounts in the wake of the Delta variant.

Iowa Man Charged in Capitol “Insurrection” Is Sent Back To Jail For Watching Mike Lindell’s Cyber Symposium

Hundreds of people were arrested for entering the Capitol building on January 6, 2021. Inside the Capitol, several Republican lawmakers were preparing to share evidence of voter fraud in multiple states that resulted in their decision not to certify the November 2020 election for Joe Biden.

100 Percent Fed Up reports- Because of the chaos caused by the so-called “insurrection,” several Republican lawmakers were unable to share the evidence of voter fraud they promised to share with fellow members of Congress and with the American public.

It’s almost like someone didn’t want the evidence to be revealed or the election to not be certified on January 6th.

Although the FBI, the DOJ, Capitol Police, and other government agencies were warned of possible violence on the day when a million Trump supporters would travel to Washington to protest the election results, the government chose to ignore the warnings and allow the Capitol building to be breached by a collection of Antifa clowns, Trump supporters, and undercover FBI agents.

On June 15, in a stunning segment on his Fox News show, Tucker Carlson revealed that FBI operatives were behind the Capitol “insurrection.” Carlson asked his viewers why the Biden regime is still hiding over 10,000 hours of video footage from inside the Capitol building? He pointed out several curious discoveries since the so-called “insurrection,” including that an FBI operative was staying in the same hotel room as Thomas Caldwell, an alleged Oath Keeper member, who was accused of being an “insurrectionist” on January 6th.

Tucker Carlson referred to the ring leaders of the Capitol incident as “unindicted co-conspirators,” per court documents, and claimed that the ring leaders were, in fact, federal agents who played an indispensable role in orchestrating the escalation on January 6th. He pointed out that without the “unindicted co-conspirators,” that day would have been marked by a purely peaceful demonstration.

During his interview with Tucker,Beattie warned, “Everything in our politics will be fake and performative until we bring the national security state, including the FBI, to heel.”

Speaking of fake and performative…

On January 9, we broke down the details of an incredible video showing a scene that took place inside the Capitol on January 6th. For some odd reason, it was one of the only videos Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms didn’t remove.

The video looks more like a bad B-movie than an actual scene inside the Capitol. We have broken into 8 segments:

In the video, a VERY GOOD videographer is coming down the stairs of the Capitol building.

#1. As the cameraman approaches the bottom of the stairs, he immediately zooms in on a police baton lying on the ground in the lobby.

#2. Next, the camera moves to a single, black police officer who is standing in a doorway. Standing in front of the police officer is a male dressed in a black t-shirt, black pants, and a black hat. His t-shirt has a large “Q” on the front, an indication, of course, that he’s a “crazy Q-anon” conspiracy theorist. Unfortunately, the “Q” male, who appears to be leading a group of protesters attempting to infiltrate the Capitol building, is either the most lethargic patriot to ever exist, or he’s simply a terrible actor. He’s not at all aggressive like one would expect from someone who just broke into the Capitol building determined to save America from a group of anti-American lawmakers hell-bent on stealing the election from President Trump. He does, however, do a lot of head shaking, as the cop tells him to “stand back!”

Queensland man charged with distributing child abuse material on Instagram

A 55-year-old Queensland man is scheduled to face Caboolture Magistrates Court today (Friday, 3 September 2021) charged with child abuse material offences following an Australian Federal Police investigation.

The investigation began in July 2021 following reports from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in the United States to the AFP-led Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) about the alleged uploading of child abuse material to Instagram.

AFP Child Protection investigators linked a 55-year-old man from the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland to the account that allegedly uploaded the child abuse material online.

AFP officers executed a search warrant at the man’s home in Deception Bay yesterday (Thursday, 2 September 2021) where they searched the property with assistance from AFP Canine Capability.

Four mobile phones were seized during this activity. AFP Forensic specialists examined the mobile phones, which were found to contain child abuse material and account details allegedly linked to the Instagram account where the child abuse material was uploaded.

The man was arrested and charged with possessing child abuse material obtained or accessed using a carriage service, using a carriage service to access child abuse material and using a carriage service to transmit child abuse material. The maximum penalty for these offences is 15 years' imprisonment.

AFP Detective Acting Superintendent Tim Puchala said accessing and distributing child abuse material fuels an industry profiting off the trauma inflicted on the most innocent and vulnerable in our society.

“There is a real child behind every photo or video distributed online. That child has been placed in the most horrific situation and is not just an image on a screen,” Det. A/Supt. Puchala said.

“Child Protection investigators will look into every report of child sexual abuse to stop the exploitation of children and bring to justice the people contributing to this abhorrent industry.”

The AFP-led ACCCE is committed to stopping child exploitation and abuse and is at the centre of a collaborative national approach to combatting organised child abuse. The Centre brings together specialist expertise and skills in a central hub, supporting investigations into child sexual abuse and developing prevention strategies focused on creating a safer online environment.

WA man, 42, charged with online child abuse offences

This is a joint media release between the Australian Federal Police and Western Australia Police Force.

A 42-year-old man has been charged by the Western Australia Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (WA JACET) with allegedly possessing and transmitting child abuse material.

The man was arrested on Wednesday (1 September 2021) when WA JACET executed a warrant at his Nollamara home and allegedly found content on his mobile telephone that included photographs and videos of young children being sexually abused.

He was refused police bail and faced Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon, where the matter was adjourned until 24 September (2021).

WA JACET, which comprises Australian Federal Police and WA Police Force officers, launched an investigation after the United States' National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) reported abusive content being uploaded to a social media platform.

AFP enquiries identified the 42-year-old man as the alleged user of the account, resulting in yesterday's warrant.

The man has been charged with:

Possessing child abuse material obtained or accessed using a carriage service, contrary to section 474.22A of the Criminal Code 1995 (Cth);

Using a carriage service to transmit child abuse material, contrary to section 474.22(1)(iii) of the Criminal Code 1995 (Cth).

The maximum penalty for these offences is 15 years' imprisonment.

AFP Acting Inspector Peter Brindal said this arrest is another reminder of the commitment undertaken by the AFP and its partners to protect children, and identify and prosecute anyone who seeks to exploit and harm them.

"Anyone who views or shares this material is harming a child, and helping to prop up a vile industry that will abuse more children to satisfy the demand," he said.

"Next week is National Child Protection Week and we are again appealing for help from parents and carers to keep children safe online.

"Please talk to children about what platforms, apps and games they are using and remind them never to reveal personal information to any 'friends' they meet online."

Sailors and Marines Have 90 Days to Get Vaccinated or Face Punishment

Sailors and Marines now have 90 days to get vaccinated against COVID-19 or risk disobeying a lawful order, a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the maritime branches' top leaders said in a series of messages released Tuesday and Wednesday.

Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday, and Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. David Berger told their service members that they are ordering any sailor or Marine who has not received the shots to get them now.

"The order to obtain full vaccination is a lawful order," Gilday, the Navy's top officer, wrote in his message.

For sailors who refuse the shots, Del Toro's message lays out a series of steps the Navy will take to convince them to get vaccinated.

First, commands should "provide counseling regarding refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine [to] include access to a healthcare professional to answer questions regarding the risks of COVID-19 and the benefits of COVID-19 vaccinations," the message says. After that counseling, however, the person will receive a note in their service record ordering them to get vaccinated, the message adds.

Service members who remain unvaccinated after 90 days will be referred to the COVID Consolidated Disposition Authority, or CCDA, the message explains.

The new CCDA will decide what happens to sailors who refuse the vaccine. Although this new position will be able to use "the full range of administrative and disciplinary actions," Del Toro noted that "until further notice" he is not letting the CCDA start "non-judicial punishment, courts-martial, or administrative separation in cases of Navy Service Members refusing the vaccine."

For Marines, the process is a bit simpler: Get the shot or your commander will decide a punishment for failing to follow a lawful order.

Although the commandant's message did not specifically mention it, Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Andrew Wood noted that Marines will be offered the same access to medical professionals to answer their questions and concerns as their Navy counterparts.

To date, Military.com has reported on only one person who has been forced out of the service for violating COVID-related rules. A Marine corporal received a general discharge in late July 2021 after she refused to wear a face mask despite being unvaccinated.

According to the latest Department of Defense data, the Navy has fully vaccinated 85% of its sailors and the Corps has fully vaccinated 64% of all Marines.

The total number of COVID deaths in the military was at 40 as of Sept. 1, according to the DoD.

The mandatory vaccine policy marks a sharp departure from the previous approach to getting sailors and Marines vaccinated, which left it up to individual commanders. The result of that approach has been vaccination rates that vary widely between commands and services. To address lagging rates, some commands offered incentives such as four-day weekend passes for getting vaccinated. Meanwhile, some Navy commanders described reaching out to experts or doctors to assuage concerns individual sailors had over the vaccines.

Chaplain leaders in the Navy previously noted that they have seen a surge in interest over religious exemptions to the vaccine. While that avenue remains open to sailors and Marines, Capt. Richard Ryan, the chaplain overseeing the Pacific fleet, told Military.com last month that though chaplains in individual Navy commands will be charged with determining the sincerity of sailors' beliefs, the deputy chief of naval operations for manpower, personnel, training and education ultimately will decide who gets an exemption and who doesn't.

Israel is now the world's Covid hotspot: Cases soar despite country's trail-blazing vaccine roll-out - sparking fears other highly-vaccinated countries will be hit by another wave due to jabs' waning immunity

Israel recorded 1,892 cases per million people on Wednesday — nearly 0.2% of entire population in single day

Despite being one of the most vaccinated nations in world, country is in midst of an unprecedented new wave

Fears Britain could now follow suit has led to growing calls for a mass booster vaccine rollout this winter

Israel has become the Covid capital of the world despite leading the charge on vaccines, in a clear warning sign that Britain, the US and other highly-immunised nations are still vulnerable to another wave.

Stats compiled by Oxford University-backed research team Our World in Data shows there were a record 1,892 Covid cases per million people in Israel on Wednesday — nearly 0.2 per cent of the entire population in a single day.

That was significantly higher than second worst-hit Mongolia, where the rate was 1,119 per million, and double the figures for Kosovo (980), Georgia (976) and Montenegro (909), which rounded out the top five.

The figure only looks at one day's worth of tests and Israel's high rate is thought to have been driven up by a huge testing push ahead of schools reopening there.

But the country has consistently reported some of the highest infection rates in the world since mid-August amid an unprecedented third wave, despite being one of the most vaccinated nations in the world.

For comparison, 522 people per million in the UK tested positive yesterday and the figure was closer to 595 in the US. It suggests protection gained from vaccines is starting to buckle in the face of the highly-transmissible Delta variant.

While Israel is seeing record case numbers in its fourth wave, the jabs are still protecting against severe illness with Covid deaths running at about half of the level of its second wave, even though fatalities have risen sharply in the last month.

Israel has been offering booster jabs to people over the age of 60 since July, and data suggests the scheme has helped to curb rising hospital admissions. The country has since expanded the top-up drive to everyone over 12 who has already had two doses.

With Israel acting as the 'canary in the mine', the UK has been urged to 'stop hanging around' and launch a mass booster jab programme to avoid a deadly wave this winter.

But the Government's advisory panel has yet to sign off on the plans — leaving the country lagging behind Israel and the US, which is also offering third injections to everyone given two doses.

Prominent SAGE member 'Professor Lockdown' Neil Ferguson today said he expected a surge in cases in winter but is unsure if it will be large enough to warrant rolling back restrictions. Other experts fear the return of schools in England this week and next will cause infections to explode.

‘Tell me one thing’ the Biden administration has done successfully: Jim Jordan

Ohio Republican Jim Jordan has condemned President Joe Biden for “turning his back” on the American people and questioning if there has been “one thing” the Democrat government has done successfully.

“Of course Americans have no confidence in this foreign policy team,” Mr Jordan told Fox News.

“Frankly I don’t think they have any confidence in President Biden because tell me one thing he has done – this administration has done – tell me one thing they have done that has been successful in the eight months that they’ve been running the government.

“Not one – the border, inflation, crime, you name it. Everything has been bad.

“So again he can’t turn his back on all the bad policies and bad decisions that they’ve made.

“As I said I think the American people are going to hold him accountable and unfortunately we can’t hold him accountable until 14 months from now when we have the midterm elections.”

Jim Jordan’s comments come after President Biden withdrew US troops from war-torn Afghanistan earlier this week.

The decision to do so has been criticised from both sides of politics - especially after a twin terror attack claimed by ISIS-K killed 13 US soldiers and more than 170 Afghans.

Annastacia Palaszczuk calls for 'educated' conversations around vaccinating children ahead of National Cabinet

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is calling on leaders to stop "picking fights" and hold "educated" discussions around the safety of Australians.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has called for “decent” and “educated” conversation around the vaccination of children ahead of Friday's National Cabinet meeting.

The Premier told press on Friday morning she was looking forward to the meeting where state and territory leaders are expected to receive “updated information” on the Doherty Institute modelling.

However, she defended her comments made earlier in the week about the threat of COVID-19 – particularly to under 12s – if Queensland eased its border with New South Wales too early.

Ms Palaszczuk on Thursday called on the Doherty Institute to provide information and conduct further research on the impact of the virus on unvaccinated children.

“People know me, I stand by what I believe in and I will always accept the advice of Dr Young – but I will not be making decisions when I don’t see detailed modelling,” she said on Friday morning.

“I’m asking very simple questions here of Scott Morrison, and from the National Cabinet. I want to see further detailed modelling.

“It is only fair and reasonable that we have a constructive debate in this country and rather than picking fights and attacks, let’s have a decent, educated conversation.

“And there is nothing wrong with asking decent questions about the safety of families.”

The Queensland Premier faced fierce backlash for her comments including from the state’s Opposition Leader David Crisafulli, who accused her of peddling “fear instead of hope and chaos instead of confidence”.

Health Minister Greg Hunt also dismissed suggestions children were at greater risk from the Delta variant, highlighting health advice given by Queensland Health which stated “Even children with serious underlying conditions will mostly only experience a mild illness with COVID-19”.

Ms Palaszczuk on Friday doubled down on her concern for children facing the Delta variant and stressed the Queensland government was not abandoning the national plan.

“There is a very legitimate conversation where I’m asking questions about what happens to a cohort of young children who aren’t vaccinated,” she said.

“It is not about being against a national plan, we are all for a national plan … Queensland is doing everything that is part of that national plan.

“So let’s have an educated conversation about these issues. These are real issues and I think as a nation we can come up with the answers, but rather than attacks, let’s have a conversation.”

The Premier further argued just as health authorities were concerned about the elderly being unvaccinated at the outset of the pandemic the worry has now shifted to the younger population.

“Now what we’re seeing in evidence that’s happening in the US where it is the pandemic of the unvaccinated, a lot more children are presenting with COVID and a lot more children are ending up in ICU – I don’t want to have that happen here,” she said.

“So what I’m saying is let’s have a conversation about it, and the Prime Minister himself at National Cabinet, they agreed to go and do some more work.

“I will stand up for this state, Queenslanders know our team and I think you only need to see the work Queenslanders are doing themselves where we have zero cases in our community.

“I really feel for people in NSW and Victoria … this is a really tough time and I look forward to the day when we can all open up."

Federal judge rules against Donald Trump Jr., says defamation lawsuit over his tweet can proceed

A federal judge ruled against Donald Trump Jr. and said Wednesday that a defamation lawsuit over his tweets against him can continue.

The lawsuit stems from comments Trump Jr. made against Don Blankenship, a failed Constitution Party candidate for West Virginia's Senate seat in 2018.

Trump Jr. urged his followers on Twitter to vote against Blankenship, but he referred to the candidate as a "felon" on the social media platform.

Although Blankenship had been found guilty of a misdemeanor involving a 2010 coal-mining disaster, he had never been convicted of a felony, and thus could not be called a felon. He served a yearlong sentence over the conviction.

Blankenship filed a civil lawsuit in federal court against Trump Jr., and accused him of defamation, false light invasion of privacy, and civil conspiracy.

"The defamation of Mr. Blankenship as a 'felon' has so smeared his reputation that he has been prevented from pursuing other businesses and opportunities and generating similar returns of billions of dollars," read the lawsuit against Trump Jr.

In his motion to dismiss the lawsuit, Trump Jr. argued that his statement was conveyed as an opinion instead of a statement of fact, and also that the tweet had been sent to a random user on Twitter, not Blankenship.

The court refused his arguments and said the lawsuit could continue.

West Virginia Judge John Copenhaver, a Gerald Ford appointee, said in his decision that Trump Jr.'s tweet showed that he knew his accusation against Blankenship was a false one.

"Based on this article that Trump, Jr. himself cites within his own quote tweet," Copenhaver wrote, "there is a plausible inference that he had knowledge of the plaintiff's conviction history in association with the mine explosion, and in particular that the conviction was a misdemeanor, not a felony."

Trump Jr. also argued that his tweet had been an "exaggeration" offering "colorful rhetoric," and that this kind of speech was protected by the First Amendment.

Copenhaver disagreed with that argument as well. The lawsuit can now proceed to trial.

California state Senate votes in favor of mailing ballots to registered voters ahead of every election

Democrats in the California state Senate voted in favor of having all active registered voters receive a ballot through the mail prior to each election, according to the Associated Press.

While a majority of Golden State voters have been voting via mail for years, most had to request that their county elections office to send a ballot, according to the AP. California temporarily altered the rules for the 2020 presidential election to require that all voters get a ballot through the mail in advance of Election Day, the AP noted. State legislators kept that rule for the 2021 elections, including the gubernatorial recall contest, the outlet noted.

The state Senate voted Thursday in favor of establishing the rule as permanent, according to the AP, which noted that although the state Assembly previously voted to pass the measure, since the Senate made some alterations the Assembly will need to vote on it again before it heads to the governor.

GOP state senators stood against the legislation Thursday, highlighting an episode from last month when authorities found more than 300 recall election ballots in a person's vehicle, according to the outlet.

Republican Sen. Andreas Borgeas noted that he got one recall ballot delivered to his primary residence and another sent to his in-laws' home.

"So if I'm getting two ballots, I know others are getting multiple ballots as well, and that feeds into this narrative of distrust," Borgeas said, according to the AP.

Democratic state Sen. Tom Umberg said people could not vote twice if they get more than one ballot because the ballots are tracked using bar codes, according to the outlet.

Gov. Gavin Newsom is currently staring down a recall contest and will be ousted from office if a majority of voters back his removal.

"All California active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the September 14, 2021 recall election," according to the California Secretary of State's website, adding the county elections office would begin mailing ballots by Aug. 16.

Lincoln Project Co-Founder Calls Laura Loomer Anti-Semitic Slur, She Fires Back With Question About His ‘Pedophile Coworkers’

"Speaking of sewage and vermin, perhaps Rick can also let us know when he plans on sharing the same level of contempt and condemnation for his pedophile coworkers at the Lincoln Project," Loomer fires back.

“Loomer may be vile, personally repugnant, wildly immoral and crazier than a latrine rat, but Republican primary elections now reward rather than punish that kind of behavior,” Wilson seethed in reference to Loomer’s steadily growing momentum in Florida’s 21st U.S. Congressional District race.

Speaking to National File, Loomer offered up a scathing rebuke of Wilson and his conduct as a founder of the disgraced anti-Trump organization The Lincoln project, stating, “Funny how Rick Wilson has such vitriol and condemnation for an outspoken Jewish republican woman. Speaking of sewage and vermin, perhaps Rick can also let us know when he plans on sharing the same level of contempt and condemnation for his pedophile coworkers at the Lincoln Project.”

As National File previously reported in January, the Lincoln Project was forced to disavow co-founder John Weaver after a slew of young men came forward to reveal that the former John McCain advisor had used his position of power in politics to sexually harass them in explicit detail:

One man told Girdusky that Weaver, who apparently called all or most his targets “my boy”, specifically demanded sex in exchange for a job after he met one man in a hotel room.

“This man, who will stay anonymous, told me he was in communication with several young men solicited by Weaver for a job, after which he propositioned them for sex as part of the offer,” wrote Girdusky. “He shared direct messages with me of both young men, one of whom had been ‘strung along for days about a possible job,’ and when they met at his hotel, Weaver demanded they engage in sexual intercourse.”

The story continued to build until today, The New York Times, who Girdusky says has known about this story since the summer, revealed that Weaver specifically attempted to flirt with a 14-year-old boy.

The Lincoln Project has also faced accusations of funneling tens of millions of donor funds into companies owned by the organization’s co-founders.

GOP Freedom Caucus Wants Liz Cheney And Adam Kinzinger Booted From Republican Party

Freedom Caucus Wants to Boot Reps. Kinzinger, Liz Cheney Out of GOP

House Freedom Caucus Leader Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., is sending a letter to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., to remove both Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., and Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., from the Republican Conference for their roles on the Jan. 6 Select Committee.

Biggs drafted a letter, CNN reported Wednesday, to McCarthy calling for Kinzinger and Cheney’s removal because of their role in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s orchestrate investigation of the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6.

“This proposal is not because of a policy or political difference, but because some members have chosen to work with the Democrats to investigate and potentially remove Republican members from the House,” the letter says, according to a draft copy obtained by CNN. “Republican Conference meetings are an opportunity for elected House Republicans to come together and strategize the most effective path to push back on the radical policies of Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi and the Democrats.”…

“Many of the coming discussions will likely revolve around our defense against the Democrats’ perpetuation of the false narrative that Jan. 6 was an insurrection, and how to protect our own from their legally questionable investigative methods,” the letter continues. “Congresswoman Cheney and Congressman Kinzinger are two spies for the Democrats that we currently invite to the meetings, despite our inability to trust them.”

Liz Cheney has been so valuable to Pelosi that she just got a promotion.
