I got a call from my kid. He’s young. He’s military. He’s the last one at his station to hold out from the harassment taking a vax.

He told me he has had enough and is taking one. My heart hurts for many different reasons.

Prayers please. Fuck off your judgment too. Exemptions aren’t happening like they should be. He has a real risk from a genetic clotting issue. He won’t tell them that because he says they don’t give a shit-

Since Trump has spoken of J&J and my NP said the J&J is the most ‘vaccine like’ he is going with that. He will be taking dandelion tea, pineapple and aspirin and fish oil later. Am I missing anything you have read about?

Fuck guys. Yeah- it would be my hope for him to stand against this crap. Again he’s young and doesn’t understand the whole picture yet. I am requesting prayers. I appreciate it.

My other kid in college is at a medium Christian college in a freer state- is quarantined because someone exposed kid to it- at least they are testing kids for the antibodies. Kid did not have them- we thought they would be there since I had it last November and family was also sick around fat time. Kid going to get another test jic of false negative-You don’t have to quarantine if you are vaXed or antibodies are present. I see hope there-

Jesus this is ridiculous times.

He knows. I think either way he feels like he’d be abandoning his brothers. They sold him on the shame of less than honorable discharge- you will never be able to speak of your time here… never be hired

I’m sitting here thinking about how I may never be a grandparent or if something happens to him! There will be hell to pay.

I’m just sad and angry right now.

Plus-I’m up right now prepping for a freakin colonoscopy! Life is extra difficult at this particular moment.

>copacetic

My grandp used to say that - copacetic

Made me think of him. One of those guys that every kid loved because he was funny as crap.

“Eat every bean and pea on your plate” I was his favorite grandkid because I laughed at all his jokes. I must have been 25 before I understood why I laughed at that one

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Rep. Mark Green Passes Amendment to Protect Discharge Status for Active-Duty Troops who Refuse the COVID Vaccine

WASHINGTON— Last night, the House Armed Services Committee passed Congressman Mark Green’s amendment to the FY2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which would prohibit any discharge but honorable for servicemembers who choose not to receive the COVID-19 vaccine:

Green said, “As a physician, I’ve weighed the pros and cons of the COVID-19 vaccine and have chosen to get the shot. As a former Army officer, I also understand the need to vaccinate servicemembers on deployment against a highly infectious virus. For years, the military has possessed the authority to compel servicemembers to be vaccinated. However, those vaccines underwent years of research with ample longitudinal safety data. In the case of the coronavirus vaccine, that longitudinal data is not yet possible. Therefore, I believe servicemembers who make the personal medical decision to refuse the vaccine, and are subsequently separated from the service for their refusal, should not receive anything other than an honorable discharge for refusing to take the vaccine. Period.”

“I’m grateful to Chairman Smith and Ranking Member Rogers for working with me to get this commonsense amendment to a place of broad bipartisan support. No American who raises their hand to serve our Nation should be punished for making a highly personal medical decision.” Green continued.

In an August 25th memo, Secretary Austin announced that the U.S. military will be required to get the COVID-19 vaccine beginning next month. Green’s previously filed an amendment calling on the House of Representatives to oppose any punishment or discharge that is not an honorable discharge for servicemembers who choose not to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

It seems like it passed but it may not pass until most military deadline dates are over- so if they walked out now do you think it would pass after the soldier is already gone?
