A chemical plant with connections to China’s military reportedly had a major explosion at around 8 a.m. on Thursday, in China’s Shangxi province.

Residents say the blast could be heard from nearly 2 miles away. Some said the ensuing shockwave shattered their windows and damaged their walls.

Isn't this illegal ?

https://thegrio.com/2021/09/03/tiktok-sean-black-hack-texas-abortion-whistleblower-site-false-tips/

In an initial video, Black said the script he developed sent one request to a website run by a group called Texas Right to Life every 10 to 15 seconds. In a second one, he noted he was able to send around 245 requests to the site before it blocked his IP address.

“Then I thought: What if I make it easier for everyone?” Black says in the clip.

He created an iOS shortcut so anyone with an iPhone could replicate Black’s script, which picks a random Texas city, county and zip code and other required information to file a false report, hopefully tying up resources.

eposed Afghan vice president Amrullah Saleh on Friday refuted all media reports claiming that he has fled the country, calling them "baseless".

Amrullah Saleh told India Today that he is in Panjshir valley with commanders and political leaders of the resistance and managing the situation.

"There are some media reports being circulated around that I have fled my country. This is absolutely baseless. This is my voice, I am calling you from the Panjshir valley, from my base. I am with our commanders and our political leaders and are managing the situation. Of course, it’s a difficult situation, we are under the invasion of the Taliban and Pakistanis and Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups," Amrullah Saleh said.

He further maintained that they have not lost the territory to the insurgents yet.

"Over the past four-five days the Taliban have launched their offensive but they have not been able to achieve any significant gain. They have suffered casualties, we have suffered casualties too," Amrullah Saleh said.

Some media reports claimed that Amrullah Saleh had fled to Tajiskistan amid increasing heat from the Taliban, along with Panjshir commanders in two planes on Thursday.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/andrewsolender/2021/09/03/democrats-introduce-bill-creating-18-year-supreme-court-term-limits-nominations-every-two-years/?

A handful of House Democrats on Wednesday introduced long-shot legislation to fundamentally reshape the Supreme Court amid pressure from progressives to take action over a recent Court decision that left in place a controversial Texas abortion law.

The bill, introduced by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), Don Beyer (D-Va.), Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) would create 18-year term limits for Supreme Court justices, though it would not apply to justices currently serving.

The bill would also give presidents the ability to nominate a new justice every two years and require the Senate to act on each nomination within 120 days before the nominee is automatically seated.

There is debate among constitutional scholars as to whether such reforms require a Constitutional amendment: Thomas Berry of the libertarian Cato Institute argues the term limits are a “close call” but the Senate deadline is “no doubt” unconstitutional.
