Italian police raid drone maker over alleged Chinese takeover
ROME — An Italy-based defense firm that has supplied small drones to the country’s special forces was quietly and illegally purchased by Chinese state companies, Italian investigators have alleged.
On Thursday, Italian financial crimes police raided the company, which one official named as Alpi Aviation.

Police block access to mass shelter where 4 died as state launches multi-agency investigation
INDEPENDENCE – Multiple agencies are now involved in an investigation into a massive, makeshift shelter where hundreds of nursing home residents were crammed into tight living spaces to ride out Hurricane Ida. Four people died at the facility in the days following the storm, and more than a dozen were sent to the hospital.
