Misleading.

Those who read the bible know this is nonsense. Revelation was written by John on Patmos if I am not mistaken. It spans the whole of history and is much like the book of Daniel, but with more context.

You must also keep in mind, that most of the time, prophecy is not literal, but symbolic, ergo things like the harlot sitting on a beast. It's not literal, but basically describes the situation, she sits on the beast, and therefore, controls, or is in league with, essentially a false religion controlling the beast, which is some form of government or rule. And, more often than not, most prophecies, tend to have multiple layers, and meanings for different eras, which are true in their specific context.
