are there known updated ip addresses for the hosts file fix? Info at the top of the page is more than a week old
Can someone walk an oldfag through "Open JS". I understand you are talking about Javascript, just don't know how or where to find that. Part of the browser? Part of the system files? Is it an options window somewhere? A pulldown tab? A file folder? Please clarify for both Windows and Mac users if that is possible.
If you can see it then you don't need it, but ok

OK apparently we all suck at communication without pictures. Now that I figured out, let me 'splain a few missing steps.
Updating Javascript is not done on your system files or even your browser, it is done on the 8kun page itself.
At the very top of this window is a thin gray bar, wayyyy on the very right you will see [Options]. Click that.
A popup window will appear withGeneralat the top. On the left side you will see an option that looks like this </User JS. Click that.
Now you will see a text box, into which you can copy/paste any of the scripts that anons are recommending. At the bottom is a bar that says Save Custom Javascript. Click that. You are done.
Seems safer than the hosts file fix. IDK.
