Angelina Jolie has revealed new details about her relationship with Brad Pitt, telling The Guardian that they fought about Pitt's decision to work with Harvey Weinstein.

Jolie said 'it hurt' to see her then-partner work with the disgraced producer after she claims she narrowly escaped being assaulted by him when they worked together in the late 90s.

'It was hard for me when Brad did [that],' she said, later adding: 'We fought about it. Of course it hurt.'

But sources close to Pitt say Jolie is mischaracterizing the situation, telling TMZ he never 'teamed up' with Weinstein but was simply cast in a movie which later happened to get distributed by TWC.

Milley says civil war 'likely' in Afghanistan

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said he believed it was "likely" that conditions for a future civil war could develop in Afghanistan following the U.S. troop withdrawal.

The general also stated that civil war in the region could lead to the resurgence of groups like al Qaeda and ISIS, among others.

During an interview with Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin in Ramstein, Germany, that aired on Saturday, the reporter asked Milley if the U.S. was safer today since the country had withdrawn its troops from Afghanistan.

“Well you know this is something that I've thought a lot about. And I personally think that my military estimate is is that the conditions are likely to develop of a civil war. I don't know if the Taliban is gonna be able to consolidate power and establish governance - they may be, maybe not,” Milley told Griffin.

Jensen, who is charged with seven counts, including aggravated assault, obstruction of a law enforcement officer during a civil disorder, unlawfully entering a restricted building while carrying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct, was jailed for six months while he awaited trial. Authorities said he was carrying a knife when he was arrested.

Authorities worry new Texas gun law will increase violence

HOUSTON (AP) — Texas’ new law allowing most people to carry handguns in public without a permit or training came in part from the belief by many Texans that the best way to prevent crime and stop an armed bad guy is to make sure an armed good guy is nearby.

Gov. Greg Abbott and his Republican allies in the Legislature who this summer made Texas the largest state with a so-called permitless carry law pitched it as a way to let people more easily defend themselves without government interference.

“Best case scenario, the police are minutes away. But you need protection right then and there if you’re in danger. So, it’s going to make us safe,” said Bethany Young, the legislative director for Texas Gun Rights, which pushed for passage of the law that took effect Wednesday .

But research suggests crime actually rises after such laws are implemented.
