dianne finestein has died again
that makes 5 days in a row
she is the deadest person in america
about 20 people died in our local nursing home in one month last year
that was about one third of them
the place had been locked down pretty much for several months before anyone got sick
thought to have been brought in by one of the younger workers
all were 80 + years old and in bad health
a couple that were in better health but in their 90s that i know had hardly any symptoms
for the last almost year they people there have been diying at a more normal 1 or 2 a month
this is a "last stop" kind of place– no one ever leaves it alive
my rule of thumb is that never before in over 60 years of business has one third of the people there died in one month
so it is real if you are old or sick
i am not sure if anyone else in town who has died outside this place has even been claimed to have died from covid
