Per the faxes received in real time they taxied the aircraft into a hangar and the feds were in a standoff w/whomever was on the plane. This was over the course of several hours. Couple days later, see on the news it crashed? WTF?

I'm glad you found that because my knowledge is from sitting in headquarters that day. I wasn't supposed to be there, once they went into Delta, everything was locked down. I was fortunate that my line badge was in my pocket so when asked my security clearance I was able to prove it. Turns out, it was high enough to remain, so they sat me next to the fax machine. My job was to read the faxes, see if it was pertinent and call the rooms attention to it. I then read them out loud to the room before handing them off.

That was also the day I learned that the fax machine was considered a secure form of communication over all other option we had then.
