You could say that about everything that was ever written.
Why do you believe things that are not in the Bible?
Anon I’d suggest you go and research the councils of Nicea, and other councils the church fathers, that cast out and anathemiyized certain saints and holy books that were included before that council.
Then find the book “Lost Books of the Bible”. And then ask yourself the question, why did Jesus say to his disciples, whom do you think I am? They answered, “jeremiah etc.
Matthew 16:13 says?
“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?”
The Lord Jesus demanded that His disciples take a good, close look at Him: “Who am I?”
Isn’t it interesting that John the Baptist did essentially the same thing?
New International Version
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
New Living Translation
“Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”
English Standard Version
And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Berean Study Bible
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Berean Literal Bible
And they said, "Some indeed, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
Anon of this doesnt give you pause that church fathers manipulated everything in the bible, but they rother forgot or someone sneaked this im for all time, then I dont know what will.
Why would they answer “as if” hes asking about prior lives?
I believe in the Holy Spirit when reading the bible, not necessarily the written words. But I do love the bible!
