At least since The Enlightenment, the accepted way was the accuser was expected to establish their case of facts demonstrating who they accused of a crime or act. 9/11 turned that all on its head… with the impressive Force of the entirety of the U.S Government telling EVERYONE that the accused had to demonstrate their innocence.
That is STILL completely fucking wrong, and hasn’t been any less wrong no matter how ‘popular’ the slight of hand has became. It’s everywhere nowadays, make an accusation and THEN go on to insist other people ‘prove it isn’t true’… which that in itself is a fool’s errand.
The Taliban offered to hand over OBL…. IF the U.S. would produce the proof it had to back up its claim that OBL ‘did it’. That proof has never been presented, merely twenty years of accusation alone.
