It ain't the lack of land - it's the lack of people willing to work the land to produce the food. You think the bloated people of WalMart are gonna work a hoe or a spade when the tractors stop? Hitch a mule? Split firewood?

Yes, but even with animal traction, it's hard work. Go look at the Amish, or black folks (still) in the Mississippi Delta (in you are US). BUT - you can coax a lot of food out of one acre of land. Sounds like you are prepared for that eventuality, even if that prep is only mental for now.

Probably so. And once the centerfire and rimfire stuff is gone, this Anon has a nice supply of Goex BP and Pyrodex, plus appropriate delivery systems. And you can get such systems, even today, for cheap and under the radar. Not regulated like the modern stuff (although CA and NY might be another issue).
