Started into what a VIRUSis.

 

And looking at it in comparison to bacteria, fungi, parasites

 

First virus identified was Yellow Fever during Panama canal construction by US Army and Army core of engineers.

 

But virus existed prior to this, just identified.

 

Very Important difference:

 

Virus arenon-livingcan't be seen by a microscope, but by electron microscope. And is composed of RNA or DNA single or double slice/section surrounded by Protien.

 

Virus can not duplicate themselves all the others can.

 

Virus only duplicate in host cells of plant or animal. micro-organism, even bacteria

 

Living things have cells, eat and replicate, grow.

 

Virus is non-living. the DNA or RNA takes over the instruction part of the cell and makes the cell create another virus identical to it. The cell either dies or lives changed from before by the virus.

 

A tumor is a virus.

 

Some virus lead to cancer.CANCER is caused by a virus

 

AIDS, Mono, Cold, Flu, many of our horrible diseases are viral or caused by a virus.
