📢 New South Wales Border Zone Update

From 1am Monday 13 September, students and essential workers in the following NSW Local Government Areas where restrictions have eased can travel into Queensland:

📍 Tweed, Ballina, Byron, Moree Plains, Gwydir, Clarence Valley, Inverell, Glen Innes Severn Shire, Tenterfield, Kyogle, Richmond Valley and Lismore.

💼 An essential worker is someone who cannot work from home, this includes teachers and retail workers. All workers who cross into the state must have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Anyone entering Queensland from these areas must not have been in another locked down NSW LGA or have been in contact with someone who has been there in the past 14 days.

The NSW border zone LGAs of Bourke, Berwarrina, Walgett and the unincorporated Far West continue to have tight restrictions in place.
