Equestrian sports mainly dominated by those with the most money, hence they can afford the best horses. I have a relative who is wealthy, even she laments that her daughter can't win because those wealthier than her have better horses.

So true. Those who raise livestock are not going to stand back and allow their animals to decline, or be barren, etcetera. Feed for animals is for the most part nutritionally complete. They don't want hogs or sheep to experience spontaneous miscarriages.

Livestock receives a higher quality of care than humans. Livestock can't choose, though. They are provided feed and pasture that is managed by the farmer.
