know someone that is a remote W2 in PA for a CA-based firm (healthcare IT)…they want to flip the W2s to 1099s in states with the mandate, and get themselves to 99 employees ; this company supports Elder, so they are trying to help their people avoid this bullshit anyway they can because they can't afford to lose any key people
